The validity period of peony credit card is generally not more than 5 years. The expired card can no longer be used, but the contract is still valid. If you need to continue to use your card, please apply for card replacement through online banking, card issuers or customer service hotline. If you don't want to change your card for the time being, please inform ICBC one month in advance, and ICBC will reserve the card number for you for a certain period of time; If you need to continue to use your card in the future, you can apply to ICBC for card replacement.

The new card is the same as the previous card opening operation, and there are three ways for you to choose:

1, activated by 95588 customer service phone or telephone banking.

The specific steps are: dial 95588 to "6" international card service, select the required service language according to the voice prompt, and then press "3" to enter the ICBC credit card service. Then press "2" to enter "card activation", and enter personal information such as credit card number and valid certificate (ID card) number according to the voice prompt to successfully open the card. After the ICBC credit card is activated, you can set the consumption password.

When the ICBC credit card is activated through telephone banking, if the cardholder uses a non-reserved telephone number to dial the telephone banking, the system will ask him to enter the reserved mobile phone number. Please follow the voice prompts. At present, ICBC in some areas does not support self-service card opening by telephone. Cardholders can choose to open cards at the counter or turn to 95588 for "9" manual service consultation.

2. The counter is activated

Icbc credit card holders can bring valid identity documents, credit cards and password letters to the counter of local ICBC business outlets to open cards. If they pick up their cards at the local ICBC credit card center (not by mail), they can activate the ICBC credit card on the spot. If you forget to bring the password letter when you go to the business outlet, you can do a "password reset" before opening the card (this service is free) and then open the card.

3. Online activation

Log in to personal online banking from ICBC official website, and enter "Peony Card Activation" under "Bank Card Service". Enter the card number, card validity period, cardholder's name, certificate number and other related information, then click the OK button, and finally set the credit card password and confirm it to complete the activation of ICBC credit card.

Reminder: users who want to change the card type should explain to the customer service staff, otherwise the bank will handle the card according to the original card type. In most cases, when the credit card expires, the credit card user does not need to call on his own initiative, and the bank will renew the card on his own initiative and mail a new card to the user.
