China meta-code CNY is a currency symbol assigned to China by the International Organization for Standardization. At present, the abbreviation of RMB yuan is RMB yuan, which uses the initial letter combination of RMB Chinese pinyin and the standard currency symbol is CNY. In international trade, it is the only standard symbol of RMB. Now it has replaced the symbol of RMB for foreign exchange settlement and domestic settlement. However, RMB can still be used for domestic settlement without causing confusion. General banks use CNY, and internal accounting of enterprises uses RMB. Sometimes, for simplification reasons (for example, only ASCII character set is supported in order to simplify printer design), ￥ in RMB is omitted and recorded as RMB.
