Sanya Shenzhen Airlines Holiday Travel Agency (Hotel Reservation), I took a break from my busy schedule and had a chance to travel to Sanya. I have a little experience, which I would like to share as follows:
1. Experience
In my personal opinion, The ultimate goal of traveling is to relax and be happy. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain a good attitude when going out.
First of all, many people like to read guides. In addition to understanding the situation, the most important thing is to prevent tourist traps. This is sweetness, and that is arsenic. What we call tourist traps are profits for travel agencies or local tourism practitioners. We must strongly oppose and ruthlessly expose traps that harm our interests; however, we must not be so "smart" that others lose any profit. Besides, limited traps are unavoidable for us, just like self-funded projects with group tours, you always have to spend a certain amount of money. Two, if you know that the shellfish processing at the seafood stall costs 3 yuan each, you should just let him process it.
Secondly, don’t look for traps everywhere and be strict about everything when you go out. As mentioned above, tourist traps are everywhere. To make yourself happy, as long as it is not too excessive, just turn a blind eye or close your eyes. Others have to support their families, right? We go out to have fun, not to find trouble. Give up a little profit, everyone is happy. Generally speaking, the citizens of Sanya are warm and kind.
Finally, “you get what you pay for” is an eternal truth! Especially for accommodation, an accommodation costing 200 yuan more per night will not only give you a comfortable sleep, but also full energy and a beautiful face the next day. No one wants to take pictures everywhere with dark circles under their eyes. Regarding accommodation issues, see below for details.
2. Equipment
Many of the equipment guides for going to Sanya are relatively complete, so here I will just talk about my own additions!
Clothes: If you go to the beach for outdoor barbecues or bars at night, long sleeves are a must. Try to prepare clothes that are made of quick-drying fabrics and have bright colors that are easy to photograph. Trousers made of quick-drying fabric are very practical for outdoor use. Wear long trousers when going out in the early morning when it’s a little cooler. There are many mosquitoes on the island, and they can also protect you. It’s extremely convenient to remove the trousers when it gets hot at noon or when you’re treading water on the beach. Besides, the price of two pairs of pants is also very good, so you can take one less piece of luggage! Slippers are good for walking, but it is inconvenient to go to scenic spots. We have seen N pairs of slippers that were worn out and were still on the side at the scenic spots. Beach shoes are safe and practical, but they are not very beautiful and need to be cleaned every day to avoid odor. Crocs sandals are now available in smaller and cute styles. They dry quickly, but I’m not sure how comfortable they are.
Sunscreen: For sunscreens with SPF30 or above, it is recommended to use special cleansing oil. Ordinary cleansers cannot cleanse high-power sunscreen products (especially waterproof and sweatproof types). When the weather is hot, pores will be clogged and acne will occur. affect photo effects. Opalai has a sunscreen cleansing oil (orange plastic bottle) for 90 yuan, which is moderately priced and works well. Don't use a sun umbrella when going to the beach. The wind is strong, which is not conducive to taking photos and posing. It is best to buy a hat with a fabric tie and a deeper top. Straw hats or shallow tops are easy to blow away.
Towels: If you can bring them, bring your own. Even high-end hotel towels and bath towels are shared. Even if we believe in the professional ethics of most hotel cleaning staff, according to industry insiders, there is no 100% guarantee. In particular, women should take care of themselves and pay attention to hygiene. Small discomforts can affect your mood while traveling. Also, get yourself a bar of soap.
Snacks: Sanya Supermarket has a wide range of items, so you don’t need to bring too many things. You can bring some special snacks. We brought a few small bags of Kangding yak meat. A small gift to the hotel service staff will make you see a sincere smile every day when you go out.
3. Regional Overview
Sanya can be roughly divided into four regions: downtown, Sanya Bay, Dadonghai and Yalong Bay.
(1) City Center
Sanya City is small in size, with Jiefang Road as the north-south central axis. All stations, shopping malls, supermarkets and food are distributed on both sides of Jiefang Road. There is a large flow of people in the urban area both during the day and at night, there are many vendors on both sides of the street, and the order on the scene is relatively chaotic. But from another perspective, it is also a manifestation of the city’s developed tourism industry. The transportation is convenient, there are many buses and buses, and if you don't need to take a taxi to places outside the city, it only takes less than half an hour to walk the entire Jiefang Road. In Sanya City, there are more outsiders than locals. Taxi drivers, bus drivers, and conductors are basically all from the Northeast.
Shopping malls: Yifang Department Store, XX Plaza (forgot the name, it’s right next to Yifang Department Store), Pearl Plaza. The layouts of shopping malls are similar, with Pearl Plaza being larger. The first floor is full of cosmetics and pearls, but the rosewood counters are only available on the first floor of Pearl Plaza. Rosewood is a specialty of Hainan. I used to buy rosewood bracelets (usually worn by men) in Haikou. They were medium-sized and priced at more than 400 yuan. You can negotiate the price to about 150 yuan. However, things in Sanya may be more expensive. As for pearls, you must buy them in shopping malls. The discounts in Sanya are not as low as in Haikou.
Pedestrian Street: equivalent to Chunxi Road in Chengdu, with clothing stores on both sides and stalls selling handicrafts in the middle. There is a "Watson's" at the entrance of the pedestrian street. If you are tired of shopping, you can order a pot of Hainan specialty tea "Lan Guiren" at the "Xianji Forest" (Sanya version of Xianzong Forest) at the corner of the street. It costs 48 yuan a pot. It has a bitter taste and a sweet aftertaste, which can relieve the heat.
Supermarket: There are specialty supermarkets in the larger streets of Sanya. The larger one is the Wanghao Supermarket next to the bus station (not far from the pedestrian street).
(2) Sanya Bay
Located in the east of Sanya, the coastline (Coconut Dream Corridor) is very long, just outside the main road, but the beach is only 50 meters wide, so most swimmers rare. On the inner side of the main road are star hotels, resort hotels for various units and elevator apartment complexes (family hotels). There are also many seafood stalls and Western restaurants on the roadside. Going eastward from Sanya Bay are Phoenix Airport, Nanshan, Big and Small Cave Sky and Tianya Haijiao.
(3) Dadonghai
The place closest to the urban area, with the most hotels and guesthouses and the most complicated tourists. Generally, the designated hotels for group tours or independent travelers are in Dadonghai. The sea is about 500 meters away from the main road. The beach is wide and there are many people swimming. It is called the "citizen beach". Foreigners (mostly Russians) account for half of the beach. Next to the beach is a bar and restaurant street.
(4) Yalong Bay
The environment of Yalong Bay should be everyone’s ideal view of Sanya. It is basically a five-star garden sea view hotel. However, it is more than 20 kilometers away from the city, there are no shopping malls or shops, and there are only a few garden restaurants for dining outside the hotel. Attractions include the Underwater World, various hotel gardens, and further west is Wuzhizhou Island.
4. Transportation
The transportation in Sanya is relatively convenient, and there are many modes of transportation, such as taxis, buses, chartered cars, etc.:
Taxi: Strategy Part 1 It was said that it would cost only 5 yuan to walk around the city, but the chefs we called three times were all from Northeast China and asked us to check the meter. In order to avoid traps reasonably, we chose to walk, but found that we could not walk for long. It is not recommended to take a taxi. You can walk in the city, there are buses to scenic spots, and you can charter a bus to far away places.
Bus: No. 8 bus (air-conditioned bus) from Phoenix Airport to East Railway Station, passing through the airport, Sanya Bay Coconut Dream Corridor, Pedestrian Street, Haowang Supermarket, Yifang Department Store, First Market, and Dadonghai area, but cannot reach Yalong Bay. The fee depends on the length of the journey, usually 1 yuan, and 5 yuan from Dadonghai to the airport. The tourist line (air-conditioned car) runs from Xiaodongtian to Yalong Bay, passing through all scenic spots and downtown areas. It costs 13 yuan from Dadonghai to Xiaodongtian and 3 yuan from Xiaodongtian to Nanshan. However, if you go to Xiaodongtian, the flight attendant will recommend that you buy a package ticket there (said not to be sold after noon), which includes tickets, lunch, and a battery car in the scenic area. It is not recommended to buy a package ticket. Please see the food and beverage section for the reason. No. 16 is the worst bus we have ever taken. It is actually an older minibus that goes to Dongtian and Xiaodongtian (via Tianya Haijiao). The route is at the urban-rural fringe. It is full of loess and stops at a moment's notice, which causes a lot of time delays. . Strongly not recommended. Now because the bridge to Tianya Haijiao is broken, the tourist bus cannot reach it, so we have to get off the bus and take a tricycle to get there. If you want to go to the ends of the earth, you can only take bus 16 at the entrance of the scenic spot on your way back. There are several other buses. Except for buses 7 and 10, which are air-conditioned buses, the other buses 1 and 2 are old buses with smaller models.
Chartered bus: Those who go to Wuzhizhou Island usually charter a bus. We didn’t go and have no say in this.
5. Accommodation
Among the four areas in Sanya, if you are traveling, it is best not to stay in the urban area, as it is too far from the sea and noisy.
Sanya Bay: Young people often choose family hotels in the elevator apartment complex of Sanya Bay. Most of the hotels here are resort hotels owned by corporate entities, and the external hotels are also very beautiful. However, because the beach in Sanya Bay is not good, people generally do not stay here when traveling.
Yalong Bay: Very beautiful and expensive, standard star-rated hotels (Hilton, Holiday Inn, etc.), all with gardens.
If you have a car (rent a car) you can stay here, because all coastal hotels have private beaches. Of course, other travelers can also go to this beach. However, you can wear a bathing suit and a bathrobe with the hotel's logo on it, walk through the garden to the sea, and then just relax on a deck chair on the beach. Personally, I think Yalong Bay is suitable for vacation. You don’t need to go to other attractions. You can enjoy the hotel’s star-rated service every day and swim on the beach and sunbathe.
Dadonghai: If it is your first time to Sanya, tourists who do not rent a car are recommended to stay in Dadonghai. There are many hotels of all grades. First-tier hotels close to the beach (but not as good as Yalong Bay) are relatively expensive, such as: South China, Intime (more foreigners), Pearl, Holland and Thailand, etc. There are more real sea view rooms, and there are no other hotels. building. Second-tier hotels (not directly adjacent to the sea) are cheaper, such as Huaxin, etc., and are not far from the beach. It only takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the beach, but the so-called sea view rooms are blocked by buildings. We stayed at the Huaxin Hotel, which cost more than 300 yuan (double bed sea view room). Neither the hardware nor the environment felt like a quasi-four-star hotel. I recommend Hollande. It is small but very exquisite. It was built in 2008. We went to the front desk to inquire about the price. The most common room was 500 yuan before January, and the sea view room was about 700 yuan. It seems to be much more expensive, but if I go to Dadonghai, Sanya again to stay, I will definitely choose a first-tier hotel.
A few additional notes on accommodation requirements:
First, choose what you need. According to the travel agency's free quotation, the second-tier hotels in Yalong Bay cost around 2,300, the second-tier hotels in Dadonghai cost around 1,600, and the first-tier hotels in Dadonghai also cost around 2,000. Some people say that it is better to live in Yalong Bay than on the Dadonghai line. But what about the other costs that come with it? The cost of transportation and meals will also increase a lot! Therefore, don’t compare absolute prices. The key is to see whether you have a car, whether you are going on vacation or visiting scenic spots, and whether you have much time to go to the city.
Secondly, the Holland and Thailand front desk clerk told us that it would be more convenient to book a room directly by calling a hotel or booking through a travel agency, which is only a few dozen yuan more expensive. After we stayed at Huaxin Deluxe on the first night, we couldn't bear to ask to change to a sea view room (I hope the space is larger). As a result, the hotel couldn't change directly. It had to be approved by the travel agency. The difference in the price was paid by the travel agency. It was extremely difficult. inconvenient!
As for family hotels, there are only two places: Dadonghai and Sanya Bay.
The bay of Dadonghai is not only lively during the day and night. Many tourists and citizens like to swim and play there, eat and barbecue at the beach stalls, and there are beautiful and enchanting fireworks blooming at night. It feels rich and full there, in the night sky. The sunset in Sanya Bay is the most beautiful. The golden beach and golden sea are so beautiful. The only drawback is that swimming is not allowed. Except for a safe zone designated by the hotel itself, it is recommended not to swim in other places without authorization because there are no safety measures.
As for which one is closer to the city, it’s hard to say. It depends on where you live. Dadonghai is about one kilometer from the urban area, while Sanya Bay starts from the urban area and extends to the ends of the earth. Sanya Bay is two to three kilometers long in the urban area. It is recommended to stay in Dadonghai< /p>
The family hotels in Dadonghai are very close to the sea, and the transportation is convenient. I recommend a family hotel in Dadonghai to you, "Yehai Fengqingju", which is a 3-minute walk from the sea and has not been open for a long time. , the decoration services are in place, the boss is from the Northeast, and has a sincere attitude. There is a kitchen where you can cook for free, and the boss can also help process seafood for free. It feels like home, reference materials (search Yehai Fengqingju)
< p>6. Food(1) Chinese food
Hainan’s four famous dishes: Wenchang chicken, Jiaji duck, Hele crab, and Dongyang goat.
Wenchang Chicken recommends Liguo Restaurant. Many locals in Sanya go there. It is on Wenming Road (next to the Hexi Fire Squadron). However, if I am used to eating Sichuan cuisine, I will not feel happy eating the white-cut Wenchang chicken, and it will have a lot of fat. However, the restaurant provides a can of chili garlic granules to each table, which is a good condiment. I have tried two or three other dishes in this restaurant and found them average. However, I saw that the customer next door ordered a plate of white water squid, which seemed to be dipped in seasonings and looked very good. In addition, "sweet potato" in Hainan refers to sweet potato. We ordered fried sweet potato leaves for some unknown reason, but when it was served, it was fried red sweet potato tips, which was extremely depressing!
Jiajiya recommends "Qionghaie Jiajiya Hotel".
It is said to be a restaurant, but it is actually a very popular restaurant. We consulted the local 114 to recommend it in order to eat Jiaji Duck. It is on Youyi Road (opposite the Nth Primary School in Sanya City). Jiaji duck is also cut in white, and the meat is not too fatty. It tastes better than Wenchang chicken, but still not as good as braised duck. The soup in this restaurant is very affordable, the peanut and pig's trotters soup is 15 yuan, and there are a lot of peanuts and pig's trotters. The taste of stir-fried leeks with goose blood is close to that of Sichuan cuisine. It was after 2pm when we found this restaurant, and the Jiaji Duck ordered by the customers who came after us was already sold out. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or it’s really selling well. It is recommended that everyone go early.
After eating Wenchang chicken and Jiaji duck, I am not ready to eat Dongyang goat. Go to the food stalls to eat Hele Crab. See the introduction below for details. The guide said that you can go to "Haiya Restaurant" for authentic Hainanese food. According to locals, it was relatively expensive and the location was hard to find, so I didn't go there.
(2) Seafood
When you go to Sanya to eat seafood, don’t go to scenic spots or restaurants, just go to food stalls. Food stalls can be found everywhere in Sanya. After much searching, we finally found the location of “Chunyuan”. Spring Garden has been recently renovated, and only the back row in the square sells seafood. The waiters at the processing shop there can take you to the back row to buy, or they can also take you to the "Old Fisherman Seafood" next door to choose seafood (there should be rebates). We have compared, "Old Fisherman" is cheaper, the price is similar to the first market mentioned in the guide. Hele crab is more delicious and more expensive than green crab. The grouper and rich shrimp are average, and the steamed sea urchin egg is refreshing. Note: The processing point claims that the processing fee is 5 yuan per catty. This applies only to fish, shrimps, and crabs, and if the amount is less than one catty, it will be counted as one catty. Shellfish such as scallops, scallops, and abalone are 3 yuan each. Sea urchin steamed eggs are 5 yuan each (because they require steamed eggs). It's best to look at the processing fee price board on the table first. As for whether seafood, fruits, and cold water can be eaten at the same time, we didn’t dare to take the risk ourselves, but according to the owner of the only drink shop in the square, it was okay. In addition, it is said that Chunyuan no longer processes outside food (such as bringing its own seafood from the First Market). We were busy eating and forgot to ask. As mentioned just now, the price of the seafood shop they were taken to was about the same as that of the first market. They were too lazy to travel a long way, so they should give others a little profit.
(3) Snacks
From a personal taste perspective, Sanya’s famous snacks such as Baoluo Noodles are simply very different from my expectations. Sweet potato cake and papaya cake are also very different from my expectations. The same thing is true... Alas! Everyone has different tastes, and it’s always a pity not to try the local specialties when you go to a place.
(4) Fruit
There are many types of fruits in the first market, and the prices are similar to those in the guide. Hainan fruits are indeed delicious and come in many varieties. It is generally reported that there is a lack of weight, and it is estimated that this kind of situation also occurs.
(5) Drinks
There are several Western restaurants at the pedestrian street. The afternoon tea set is 18 yuan, which includes a drink and a pastry. Personally, I feel that juices, milk tea and the like can be eaten everywhere and should always be local. As mentioned before, the teapot "Lan Guiren" is good, but the tea set is not so good. As for the bar, we went to an open-air restaurant on the Dadonghai Sea for two nights (get off at the Luling intersection, walk along Huahai Road to the bar street on the Dadonghai Sea, and walk down the steps directly opposite to the right). In the evening, we had drinks, Mainly alcohol consumption. Western food staples cost around 60 yuan, a bottle of beer costs 15 yuan, cocktails range from 30 to 40 yuan, and ice cream costs around 20 yuan. However, although the lemon black tea costs 15 yuan, it is as small as a coffee cup. The portion of fruit wine at 35 yuan is quite sufficient. In the evening, I sat quietly with my family and friends, enjoying the sea breeze and listening to the singing of the resident singer, and I felt that it was so comfortable to have a vacation.
7. Attractions
We went to very few attractions this time. It is said that a five-star hotel is being built on Wuzhizhou Island, but we did not go there. Colleagues who have been there before said that the beach is so beautiful that even if you are not swimming, you can feed the small fish and play on the beach (on the beaches of Sanya Bay, Dadonghai and Yalong Bay, you may not see fish even if you walk 20 meters into the sea). But being in a submarine is hard. This time we went to the Big and Small Cave and Tianya Haijiao.
There is only one stone cave in Daxiaodongtian (Taoist Cultural Park). The tour group takes you around the stone cave and then leaves. It is different if you go by yourself. The scenic park is beautiful. A coconut grove avenue runs through the scenic area. On the right is The sea, with hills on the left. When entering, walk along the seaside beach to Xiaodongtian. When returning, go up the mountain on the left side in front of Xiaodongtian. There are many scenic spots on the mountain such as the Everlasting Pine, Shoubinan Mountain, a certain monument, and the Dragon King's Courtyard. Don't be in a hurry, walk slowly, look slowly, take photos, taste the culture, and feel happy physically and mentally.
After going down the mountain, there is a coconut forest rest area at the entrance of the scenic spot. Coconuts are 8-10 yuan each, and noodles are about 8 yuan. There is a Taoist health restaurant just after entering the gate. It is the lunch spot in the package recommended by the travel agent mentioned earlier. I personally don’t think it makes much sense. In addition, don’t spend 15 yuan to take a sightseeing bus that you can get on and off at any time. Firstly, the scenery along the way is so beautiful that you can get off and take pictures at any time. Secondly, the whole journey of the sightseeing bus is only less than 2 kilometers, which is really boring!
The layout of the scenic spots in Tianya Haijiao is similar to that of Big and Small Cave Sky, except that there are no mountains. There are more people on the beach, and various attractions are also on the seaside. Some people say that when you reach the end of the world, don’t go to Haijiao. I don’t understand! It’s just that we didn’t take pictures at the cape, we had to wade to the rocks. Don’t be a sightseeing bus either, for the same reason. Swimming is prohibited in the scenic area.
Yalong Bay is okay, but personally I think the beach is average and not as good as Tianya Haijiao. You can go there by bus. Instead of buying tickets at Yalong Bay Square, take the bus to Underwater World. There is a road on the right side of the road that goes directly to the diving place on the seaside. Go to the beach from the right side. Most of the beaches in Yalong Bay are divided up by hotels. There were not many people on the day we went, so there was no hotel attendant to politely remind us that beach loungers are an embarrassing incident for the hotel. I guess they couldn't handle it if there were too many people. There is a section of the beach with many stones and shells, and it is easy to get your feet scratched by the waves.
8. Summary
That’s all, I hope it can provide you with something useful. It is also our first time to go to Sanya. If you find any shortcomings after visiting, you are welcome to criticize, correct and add. Have a happy holiday everyone!
