When you arrive at the hotel, the front desk will ask you to swipe your card on the POS machine and issue a purchase order. The order says: Pre-authorization of RMB 3,200

The purpose of pre-authorization is to ensure that you still have at least this amount in your card. Pay the money to the hotel
