Cloud server

The industry name of cloud server is actually called computing unit. The so-called computing unit means that this server can only be regarded as a brain, which is equivalent to the CPU of an ordinary computer, and the resources inside are limited. If you want to get better performance, the first solution is to upgrade the cloud server, and the second is to deploy other software that consumes computing unit resources on the corresponding cloud service. For example, there are dedicated cloud database services for databases, and dedicated file storage services for static web pages and images.

And cloud servers are not cheap, on the contrary, they are more expensive than ordinary VPS. Why? Because it is relatively easy to expand. Cloud servers are a good choice when your website becomes large and has high income.

At present, there are many cloud service providers in China. You can try them. Alibaba Cloud should be considered the largest. But I haven’t tried it yet because my website is already on Linode and I don’t want to bother with it yet.

The most famous foreign cloud service is AWS, which is Amazon. The cheapest one on Amazon, I can only say that you can open a credit card and try it out for one year, and it will deduct only $1. The hard disk IO is very poor, the CPU is also very poor, even a static plug-in in WordPress can freeze. But the experience... As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Amazon also has many high-end customers, so we won’t go into details here. It’s more practical to build our own website.

If your website wants to serve domestic visitors, but you don’t want to register for the time being, and you are concerned about access speed, you can consider Linode.

After all, many domestic websites are placed on Amazon's cloud service. But in this case, you have to buy a domestic CDN service.
