What do you mean by overpaying?
Overpayment refers to the funds paid or deposited in the credit card account by the credit card customer. This amount can increase the available credit card limit or be directly used for consumer repayment. If the credit card has overpayment, the overpayment shall be deducted first, and then the credit line shall be deducted. If the overpayment is greater than the consumption amount, there will be no overdraft. Overpayment does not bear interest.

Generally speaking, banks do not encourage cardholders to recharge their credit cards, because credit cards use the method of spending first and then repaying. In addition, according to the regulations of the bank, a certain service fee will be charged for excess cash withdrawal. Banks charge different fees for credit card overdraft services.

Precautions:

1. Overpayment is a credit card deposit, and the bank does not calculate interest, which is very different from a savings card.

2. Cash withdrawal by credit card is charged according to regulations. The charging problem should be viewed from two aspects:

1) In the regulations on the use of credit cards, ATM withdrawals basically require a withdrawal fee, which is generally 0.5% of the withdrawal amount, with a minimum 5 yuan; The handling fee for overseas cash withdrawal is higher.

2) If you withdraw money from the ATM in the case of "overpayment", you still need to charge the withdrawal fee according to the credit card withdrawal standard. In this case, it is suggested that the cardholder transfer the excess amount on the credit card to the debit card of the same name of any bank, and then withdraw cash from the debit card, which will reduce the handling fee.

Handling fee: 20 12 On March 5th, the Customer Service Committee of China Service Trade Association released the survey results. 96.47% of customers don't understand that "credit cards pay more, and there is a handling fee for withdrawal". Among them, 48.06% people were very angry and thought that the bank had violated their property, and most people expressed helplessness. Basically all customers want the bank to cancel this overlord clause.

20 12, 14 China Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank, China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank, Bank of Communications, China Merchants Bank and other well-known domestic banks provide credit card services. Only four banks do not charge withdrawal fees for users to withdraw money from the bank and locally, while other banks are mandatory.
