Korean women's clothing is not very expensive, don't we often wear Korean clothes?
It seems that many people really want to go to Korea, and they also asked me a lot of questions.
Here is a list of things you should pay attention to when traveling to South Korea. I hope it will be helpful to those who want to go to South Korea.
The points of note are for reference only. Since we didn’t go to Korea for a long time, we can only summarize some of the problems we encountered.
It is best to travel independently to South Korea (this is actually the case everywhere). There are many benefits to self-guided travel. You can make your own itinerary and exclude all the places you want to visit, such as places related to TVXQ. You can also make temporary changes to your itinerary based on the conditions of the day, which gives you more freedom and plenty of time for shopping. You don’t have to go shopping at places where tour guides get commissions, you don’t have to waste time waiting for other people in the group, and you can get to know a city more truly, have more fun, and have a great sense of accomplishment on your own. It turns out that these are the reasons why people who go to Korea with a group don’t think Korea is fun at all. But you need to do your homework before going on a self-guided trip. Write down where you want to go, and then arrange your itinerary as reasonably as possible (we were a little tight this time). You also need to understand the map, subway map, and prepare the address, so you don’t know how to get there when you get there. It is best not to have too many people. If there are too many people, it will be more troublesome. They all have different interests and it is inconvenient to call a taxi for travel. It is best not to exceed 5 people.
Language problem, many parents feel that language is a big barrier, so they dare not travel independently. In fact, language is not a problem at all. Although Koreans are not particularly good at English, they can still understand simple sentences. Just use key words when speaking to them. They will not understand sentences that are too complex. When buying something, the prices are all numbers so there is nothing difficult to communicate. When it really doesn't work, you can add body movements. Their comprehension ability is still very strong.
About transportation. Taxis in Seoul are more expensive than those in Shanghai, and the traffic situation in Seoul is not good. Traffic jams are serious during rush hours, so taking a taxi is not cost-effective. However, if the distance is not too far and the subway cannot reach the place, it is recommended to take a taxi, which will save more effort. If you communicate with the taxi driver, you can directly point to the map for famous scenic spots (such as Dongdaemun, Han River...), but you must tell him the exact location. Dongdaemun and Han River are very large areas, so you need to tell him the specific place you want to go (such as Doota in Dongdaemun, which citizen park on Han River). If it is a place that others may not know (such as SM Company, Timeout, etc.), you must prepare the Korean address in advance and show it to the driver. It's best to have a phone number there. Don't think that the driver will know the directions just because you have the address. Sometimes they need to call to ask for directions.
Almost everyone uses the subway when traveling in Seoul, because the Seoul subway is cheap and convenient to ride. There are numbers representing that station on the signs at each station. You can first download a numbered one from the Internet. Subway map. When taking the bus, you just need to remember the number of the station you want to get off at. It is also very simple to know which direction to take the bus. You don’t need to remember the name of the terminal station. You only need to know whether to take the bus to the place with the higher number or the lower number. For example, this stop is 215 and I want to take 219. Just look at the signs posted on both sides of the platform and take the train in the direction where the next stop is 216.
Transferring is also very convenient. Don’t be confused by the complicated subway lines in Seoul. It’s actually very simple. Just look at the signs. You can definitely understand the numbers on the signs. Seoul is actually very small. Although some places seem far away, you have to change several lines and take many stops. The distance between stations is very short so it is very fast. You must not do special seats for the elderly, the weak, the sick, and pregnant women. They are reserved for the elderly. Young people in Seoul do not do them, even if they are empty. Write down the exit number you want to take in advance. If you haven’t written it down, just look at the map of the subway station or ask someone. If you make the wrong exit, you will take a lot of unnecessary steps and easily lose your way. The T-Money Card in Seoul is equivalent to our transportation card. It is sold in convenience stores with the T-Money Card logo. There are also machines for recharging it in the subway. It has an English menu and is easy to use.
Many scenic spots are near subway stations. They may look quite far on the map, but in fact they are very close and can be reached in just a short walk. The best combination is taking the subway and walking. Don't call a taxi at this time, otherwise you will feel like you have been cheated, because it is too close.
Food stalls. The prices of the food stalls are all the same, there is no phenomenon that one is cheaper than that, and the items sold are all the same. They all taste similar and very good. When you really can’t find a restaurant and are very hungry, it’s good to eat some at a roadside stall first. It is recommended not to eat the fish wheel skewers in the red soup. It is really spicy and Koreans don’t like it. The average one is spicy enough. But if you like spicy food, you might as well give it a try to experience how spicy Korea is.
Snacks that you should try when you go to Korea. Banana milk, this is a bit unique and is not very common in China. There is also seaweed. There is a lot of seaweed there, it is very cheap, and it tastes good. 20 packs only cost 5,000 won (about 20 yuan), and there is quite a lot of seaweed in one pack.
Generally, the menus of Korean restaurants are not much different from each other, including bibimbap, miso soup, and cold noodles. I don’t recommend ordering cold noodles because the taste is really not that good. You can search for some unique and delicious restaurants before going. Side dishes such as kimchi are provided for free, and you can refill them after you finish your meal. If you want to eat noodles with soybean paste, you have to go to a Chinese restaurant, which is not available in ordinary restaurants.
Accommodation. I have never stayed in a Hostel, so I don’t know what it is like. Hostels are cheaper than ordinary hotels, but the facilities are certainly not as good as ordinary hotels. If you want to save money, you can go there, but it is best to choose a location with convenient transportation, otherwise it will be difficult to travel and waste time and transportation costs. . If you like to stay in a 5-star hotel, the Lotte in Jamsil where we stayed is also very good. It is much cheaper than the Hilton in Seoul Tower. It is also just downstairs from the subway station, next to Lotte Duty Free Shop and Lotte World. It is very convenient for fun or travel. Very comfortable too. Another option is the Jjimjilbang. If you want to experience the feeling like in a Korean drama, you can try it for one night. It’s not expensive, but I don’t know if you can get used to it and get a good rest.
As for shopping, there are not many counter-offers in Korea. In some stores, counter-offers are not allowed. For example, the very cheap ones are 5,000 won sweatshirts, cheap accessories, etc. Even if I make a counter-offer, I'll probably give you a 10% discount or get rid of the change. Some stores that accept credit cards do not offer discounts. If you pay with cash, you can get a slight discount or give away some accessories. So bring more cash with you when you go or change more when you get there. Some people think that cosmetics stores like Laneige don’t offer discounts, so they use cards when they don’t need cash. The clothes in Myeongdong are not as cheap as those in Dongdaemun and Ewha University, so don’t buy a lot of clothes there, but you can still consider them if you come across very exquisite and inexpensive clothes. Last but not least, if the items you buy are tax refundable, be sure to ask the store clerk how to refund the tax. Remember to refund the tax at the airport when you leave.
Bring more boxes with you so that you can pack the things you bought when you come back, otherwise it will be very hard.
Many stores in South Korea open very late in the morning, at 10:30 or 11 o'clock, but close very late, until the early morning of the next day. Please pay attention to this when planning your itinerary.
Try to go to Han River and Seoul Tower at night. They will look more beautiful at night than during the day.
If you want to play Lotte World, it will be cheaper to enter after 4 pm.
Lotte World ends at 11 o'clock, but some projects end after 10 o'clock, so go in and play as early as possible.
