1, temporary credit card limit, refers to the total amount of credit temporarily increased by banks on the basis of permanent credit limit to meet the temporary needs of customers.
2. The permanent credit card limit, that is, the credit limit, is determined after comprehensive evaluation based on the information filled in and relevant supporting documents provided by individuals when applying for a credit card. The main card and the auxiliary card share a limit.
Second, the relevant provisions
1, according to the regulations of banks, the general temporary credit line is increased by 20% on the basis of the permanent credit line (the adjustment range of the temporary credit line that most banks can approve is about 30% to 80% of the long-term credit line), and it has a certain validity period, usually one month (some banks can increase it to one and a half months or three months).
2,
(1) In common joint-stock banks, such as China Merchants Bank and China CITIC Bank, the need to adjust the credit card limit (increase the permanent credit limit) is easily approved. The general application period is three months or half a year.
(2) In joint-stock banks such as Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the application for increasing the permanent quota is generally notified to the customer by the bank, otherwise the amount will not be raised.
Remarks:
1, the credit card swiping part in most banks' temporary credit lines can't choose installment repayment or minimum repayment amount when repaying like the credit card swiping part in ordinary credit lines, so if you don't repay in full within the time limit, you will be charged an overrun fee of up to 5%, which will even affect your credit history.
2. The temporarily increased credit line cannot be repaid in installments, nor can it be repaid at the minimum. It must be paid in one lump sum before the temporary credit line expires.
3. If the bank has taken the initiative to increase the cardholder's permanent quota recently, the bank will not temporarily increase the quota again.
