No need. Only this place can use your credit card type. For example, your card is VISA or master or something, as long as this store can use this type of card. You don't need to provide a passport unless the cashier suspects that your card is not yours or that someone else has lost it. You will be asked to show your ID card or passport. But basically no one in America will ask you what you want. At least for so many years, I haven't met anyone who swiped a card for an ID.
