If a person dies, if the credit card debtor has an inheritance, it should be used to pay off the credit card debt. If there is no inheritance, there is nothing the bank can do. If the arrears belong to the joint debt of husband and wife, the bank can sue to the court and ask the other husband and wife to repay.
1. If the overdue time is short and the overdue amount is low, the repayment can be made as soon as possible after being urged, which will not affect the children in general;
2. If there are many overdue times, the amount of arrears is high, but paying off the arrears before the bank sues has no effect on the children, but it has a great impact on personal credit information;
3. If it is overdue for a long time and for the purpose of illegal possession, it will not be repaid after being sued, and it will be included in the list of untrustworthy people, which will have a great impact on children, such as being unable to attend private schools with higher fees.
Credit card overdue repayment will face the following consequences:
Credit card late payment fee. The so-called credit card late payment fee refers to the fee that the cardholder should pay to the issuing bank in accordance with the regulations when the repayment date is overdue or the repayment amount is lower than the minimum repayment amount.
Overdue interest. After users overdraw with credit cards, there is generally an interest-free repayment period ranging from more than 20 days to more than 50 days. If the cardholder's repayment is overdue, all the expenses of the cardholder last month will no longer enjoy the interest-free treatment of the bank, and the circulating daily interest rate is as high as five ten thousandths, that is, the annual interest rate reaches 18%.
Bad credit record. Credit card overdue repayment records will enter the central bank's credit information system to generate bad credit records. China's personal credit information records have been networked nationwide. As long as individual residents have handled loan business in banks, applied for credit cards, or provided guarantees for others, credit reports can be found in any domestic commercial bank.
: What is overdue? After the credit card is used, it is called overdue if it is not repaid to the bank within the specified date. The bank will charge interest on overdue repayment at a daily rate of 0.5%. Interest is calculated from the date of consumption, not from the day after the last repayment date. Calculate compound interest on a monthly basis, and the principal calculated by interest is the sum of the consumption funds of that month.
