Bank of Communications credit cards that are overdue for three months will be prosecuted.

If the cardholder fails to repay the minimum payment for three consecutive months, Bank of Communications can file a lawsuit in court. Usually banks do not sue directly but contact the cardholder immediately after the payment is overdue. When the cardholder intentionally defaults on the contract, fails to actively communicate with the bank, and owes a large amount on the credit card, a lawsuit may be filed after the bank staff fails to collect the payment multiple times. Therefore, the number of late payments, the amount owed and the attitude towards the arrears determine whether the bank will take prosecution action.
