If the deposit is not collected, ETC will be in arrears due to insufficient balance and enter the "high-speed restricted access list" (i.e. blacklist); If the customer's deposit is collected, the deposit will be used for deduction when the account balance is insufficient, and it will be blacklisted before the deposit is replenished.
When the balance of the deduction account is manually recharged or paid at the counter, BOC will notify the transportation department on the same day, which usually takes 48 hours to update, and then it can be removed from the blacklist.
Note: To check whether ETC is blacklisted, you need to call ETC card issuer (road network center) or bring valid certificates to BOC outlets to check.
