At the beginning of 2017, banks increased their risk control on cardholders, which resulted in some cardholders encountering the dilemma of having their cards blocked. So which bank is most likely to have their cards blocked? Let me take stock today. At the beginning of 2017, the banks with the most severe bank card blocking were Bank of Communications, Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, etc. 1. Bank of Communications blocked cards without warning. In the past, cards were blocked, but now there are large areas of card blocking and credit reduction for unknown reasons. The magnitude is larger and wider than before. Cardholders who have held Bank of Communications credit cards for many years and those who have normal uses All cards are within the accidental damage range; 2. In order to control the proportion of bad debts, the over-limit function of Bank of China has been turned off; 3. China Merchants Bank will no longer extend the temporary limit expiration; 4. The rejection rate of China Construction Bank's temporary quota expiration application has reached 70; 5 . ICBC also adopts high risk control measures for customers without deposits and customers who use cards abnormally; 6. China Everbright Bank will temporarily send cardholders text messages to block their cards, and they can generally be used normally after the risk control investigation is completed. There are three main reasons why credit cards are blocked:
1) Cashing out credit cards. If the card issuer discovers that there is arbitrage on the credit card, the bank will freeze the credit card;
2) The overdue credit card situation is very serious, resulting in the card being blocked. If you fail to repay on time for more than three consecutive months, the card-issuing bank will naturally choose to freeze the credit card after calling for payment to no avail. In this case, although the card has been frozen, late payment fees and interest still exist;
3) The credit card is lost or stolen. If a credit card is lost or stolen, in order to prevent further losses, the cardholder will generally ask the card-issuing bank to freeze the credit card, or the card-issuing bank will proactively identify and freeze the credit card. However, this is a temporary freeze.
