There are generally two situations when cards are frozen due to overdue payment:
1. After the repayment is received, the card limit is restored immediately;
2. Repayment Afterwards, the card still cannot be restored to use. You can just cut the card and handle it properly. There is no need to cancel it, and it cannot be canceled.
Generally, if the card is overdue for more than 30 days, it may be the second situation, and you cannot apply for another card.
There are three solutions to overdue credit cards:
First, repay the balance in full.
Because you owe money, the first thing you should do is pay it back. Some people will break the bank, thinking that they are overdue, so they do not pay back the money. Wait for the bank to collect the money. In fact, the bank hopes that you can actively repay the money, rather than rushing you. It's probably most serious when the bank really wants to push you. The longer the overdue period, the greater the penalty interest. Also, if it’s more than three months, it’s more than three months.
Don’t worry if your credit card is overdue, worry about not paying back the money. After an overdue record appears on your personal credit information, this bad record will follow you for five years. After a credit card is overdue, the first thing to do is to make up all the outstanding balance, so as to reduce the impact of overdue credit. If special circumstances are encountered, the bank will consider it at its discretion. Maybe you won’t have any past due records on your personal credit information.
Second, you must answer the bank’s phone number.
Many people are afraid after their credit card expires. When they see the bank's call, they think the incident is not good, so they don't answer the bank's call. Actually this is wrong. You already owe the bank money, but the bank may call to ask about your situation. If you don't answer the phone, the bank will think that you are overdue on purpose and may run away and treat you as a malicious overdraft, waiting for a lawsuit. This is quite important and must be remembered.
Third, continue to use your credit card and repay it on time.
After the credit card expires, some people try to be clever and even cancel the credit card in order not to pay back the money. But do you think the bank will cancel the card for you without paying back the money? And if overdue records already appear on your personal credit report, they should be kept for five years. In the meantime, you'll need a health card to wash out the stains. Good card usage behavior will slowly cover up your overdue records.
