What if I can't open all Word documents?
When a user opens a Word document, an error message "MicrosoftOfficeWord has encountered a problem and needs to be closed" will pop up. What's the situation? Usually we close it directly, but we can't open it again. How to solve it? Then look below to learn how to deal with all the Word documents that can't be opened.

Method 1: Delete the common template file.

First, all hidden files are displayed, and then the normal template file is deleted from the template file of Word installation document. The operation method is as follows:

1, normal template files are generally hidden files on the system disk (that is, disk C) by default, so the first step is to set the viewing mode of computer files and display the hidden files of the system. Double-click to open my computer, click Tools-Folder Options-View in the menu bar, uncheck the box in front of "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)", then check "Show hidden files, folders and drives" and confirm.

2. After completing the first step, the following is simple. Open the path: c: \ documentsandsettings \ administrator \ application data \ microsofttemplates, and you will see two files. Delete "normal".

The operation is over here. Restart Word software to see if the problem is easy to solve. If not, please use method 2. If some user feedback methods in Windows system are invalid, use method 2 to solve it.

Method 2: Delete the blank template file

1. If the method 1 is not available, then this method can generally solve the problem and enter "safe mode" as mentioned above. In this mode, Word will only display a blank window. At this point, select File-New Document from the menu bar.

2. Then, you can see "Installed Templates or My Templates" in the new document display window on the right.

3. Click "My Template" to enter the Word template selection box. Find and delete the "blank document" in the figure below and confirm.

4. Delete, empty the document, close and exit after confirmation, reopen Word and find that Word opens normally.
