The governor of Hongzhou (now Nanchang) was named Teng It was built during the reign of King Teng, so it was called Tengwang Pavilion. In 675 AD, the Tengwang Pavilion was rebuilt. On September 9th, Yan Boyu, the governor of Hongzhou, invited guests to a banquet here. It happened that Wang Bo's relatives were passing through here, so they had to attend the banquet. During the banquet, Wang Bo was invited to write a preface for Prince Teng's Pavilion. I saw him swiping his hair in front of the public, connecting the preface and poem, and completed it in one go, which impressed the guests present. Since then, "Preface to Prince Teng's Pavilion" has become a famous piece that has been passed down through the ages.
After Wang Bo, Wang Xu of the Tang Dynasty wrote "Ode to the Pavilion of Prince Teng", and Wang Zhongshu wrote "Records of the Pavilion of Prince Teng", which were called "Three Kings' Records of Teng Pavilion" in history books and became a good story. Literary writer Han Yu also wrote: "There are many beautiful sights in the south of the Yangtze River, but Tengwang Pavilion ranks first and is known as magnificent and unique." Therefore, it is known as "the first tower in Jiangxi" and is as famous as Yueyang Tower in Hunan and Yellow Crane Tower in Hubei. It is also known as "the three famous buildings in Jiangnan".
During the long period of more than 1,300 years, Tengwang Pavilion was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt. In October 1989, the Nanchang Municipal People's Government allocated a huge sum of money to carry out the 29th reconstruction of Tengwang Pavilion in history.
The main building area of ??this famous pavilion is 13,000 square meters, 57.5 meters high, and has 9 floors. Its base is a 12-meter-high pedestal symbolizing the ancient city wall. Why is it so difficult to see Changshu as a water town in the south of the Yangtze River. Has it become a popular tourist spot?
I don’t know if the questioner is from Changshu!
Let me answer your question. If there is anything wrong, please correct me! /p>
Changshu is named for its fertile soil and no floods or droughts. It is one of the second batch of national historical and cultural cities located in the Jiangnan Water Town. It is also one of the birthplaces of Wu culture. It is a tourist city, an international garden city, a national ecological city, and one of the first batch of international wetland cities in the world.
There are Changshu 5A-level tourist attractions—Shajiabang Yushan Shanghu Tourist Area and 4 4A-level tourist attractions. : They are Fangta Historical and Historic Area, Changshu Garment City Shopping and Tourism Area, Jiangxiang Rural Tourism Area and Meili Jusha Garden Scenic Area. There are also 4 historical and cultural blocks: Nanjingtang Historical and Cultural Block; Xijing'an Historical and Cultural Block. ; Qinchuan River Historical and Cultural District; Nanmen Tanshang Historical and Cultural District
But why is Changshu’s tourism with so many natural scenery and cultural landscapes still tepid?
< p> In my opinion:The first is that most of the scenic spots in Changshu are not unique, resulting in Changshu never becoming a tourist destination, whether it is Shajiabang-Yushan Shanghu Scenic Area. Xingfu Temple is still not unique. Looking at the surrounding areas, the red tourism is not as good as that of Nanhu, and the temples are not as good as Lingyin Temple in Zhejiang and Hanshan Temple in Suzhou; the gardens cannot be compared with those in Suzhou. It has become a tourist spot in the Taihu Lake Scenic Area in Suzhou, but it has not been able to become a unique tourist destination.
The second is that the government has not made good use of Changshu's cultural heritage, and that is just recently. It only started a few years ago, but it has already passed the prime time for scenic area development.
Taking the historical and cultural district as an example, Nanmentan is very distinctive in terms of scale and history. However, due to the government's hesitation, development has been slow. Only in recent years has the overall development begun. However, now whether it is Zhouzhuang and Tongli in Jiangsu, Xitang and Wuzhen in Zhejiang have become models of ancient towns. Pingjiang Road in Suzhou has also become a representative of the surrounding historical and cultural districts. In addition, due to the rise of e-commerce, going out on the streets has become a rarity for young people today. So the South Gate Altar became useless!
However, as a historical and cultural city with a history of nearly 2,000 years, Changshu is still worth a visit! The natural scenery is like the Bagua-like Yushan Mountain and Shanghu Lake. The scenery is unique! More humanities: the former residence of the second-generation emperor Wengtong - Caiyi Hall; the unique Jiangnan garden - Yanyuan; the thousand-year-old temple - Xingfu Temple; the thousand-year-old pagoda - Square Pagoda! There are also many historical and cultural districts from the Ming and Qing Dynasties!
Welcome to Changshu!
Although Changshu is a small town in the south of the Yangtze River, it is not as distinctive as Zhouzhuang in Kunshan or Dangkou Ancient Town in Wuxi, and it is well protected and developed. This is the soul of their tourism industry. Although we have two five-star attractions in Changshu. But they are all man-made tourist attractions. Lacking soul. It's okay from an urban perspective, but it's not comparable to a metropolitan area and doesn't attract tourist interest. There was a TV series filmed in Tang City called (Xiaocao) before. After I became famous, it was good for me to visit Tang City Old Street. It's unknown now. Tang City gradually faded from people's sight. If Changshu wants to revive its tourism industry, it must package Nanhu and Kuncheng Lake together to increase its aura and the southerly wind from the huge lake of Kuncheng Lake. It is sure to touch the hearts of visitors.
Because the planning and development of Changshu used to be a hammer in the east and a stick in the west!
Changshu is also called Qinchuan because seven rivers in the city originally met to form the shape of a guqin. The history can be traced back to the Liangzhu Culture period, and it has been a land of plenty since ancient times. There are many celebrities in Changshu, including Yu Zhong, Zeng Pu and Weng Tong, Jiang Ziya fishing, and Sister Aqing fighting against the Japanese. Therefore, Changshu is rich in cultural and tourism resources. In addition, the ten miles of green hills and half of the city are covered with rivers, lakes and wetlands dotted all over the territory, and the natural landscape is also good.
However, in addition to green mountains and green waters, Changshu also has a lot of land suitable for farming. In addition, the climate is stable and suitable, and harvests are abundant all year round. Changshu people who had no worries about food gradually developed the textile industry, and the scale of China Merchants City ranked among the top in the country. And new areas of development zones have been established one after another to develop new industries in keeping with the pace of the times. During this period, leadership groups from all walks of life focused on developing various sectors of the economy, but they always lacked systematic planning and development of Changshu's rich tourism resources. After all, the tourism industry has a long cycle and slow results, so the results are naturally not easy to reflect. Even the "Liangshan Project" that refreshed the public was due to the suggestions of a middle school teacher.
In addition, Changshu did not complete the functional division of each area until the past two years. Before, it was just the establishment of projects one by one. It was not systematic, coordinated and unified, which also led to the desolation of the area around Ruqin Lake. County South Street has had intestinal obstruction for many years and other remaining problems. If urban planning and development are like this, how can tourism resource development be any better?
Although the three major scenic spots of Yushan, Shanghu and Shajiabang were merged in order to create 5A, the three are still relatively independent and not closely connected. Shajiabang is even farther away from Yushan Shanghu. longer distance. The South Gate Historical District of the city, the Liuqixian River, the Huancheng River, and the Fangta Historic Area have not been jointly developed. They are no less similar to the surrounding ancient towns and can only exist after meals for the people of Changshu.
In addition to the unsystematic planning and development of scenic spots, related supporting industries are also relatively lacking. Yushan Painting School, Yushan Qin School, and Yushan Sword School, except for appearing on the introduction of the walls of the scenic area, related commercial products are almost impossible to find. It’s hard to find authentic delicacies such as Zapeng Dried Tofu, and traditional specialty restaurants such as Deyilou are no longer run by locals.
A small town is a small town after all, and the only way out is to develop advantageous industries and a characteristic economy. If you want to follow Suzhou and Shanghai in developing new economies and new industries, how many advantages can you have?
I missed the golden period of integrated development and promotion of tourism resources around the new millennium. If I want to look back now, I am afraid that the investment and output will not be ideal!
People in Changshu are comfortable and have not done much research and development on development. Changshu is a thousand-year-old city with towers, lakes, mountains, and countless ancient buildings and culture. Zhouzhuang, Kunshan is just a town, not the same level. In addition to the ancient city walls in Suzhou, Changshu also has ancient city walls, which are not found in other county-level cities.
I just took a short trip to Changshu recently, and my thoughts are as follows:
1. The scenery of Shang Lake is by no means inferior to that of West Lake, and it can be a big deal.
2. Liu Rushi's tomb is too shabby. Even if it is based on Chen Yinke's consideration of sealing the mountain, it should not be inferior to Su Xiaoxiao's tomb.
3. When we went to Yanyuan, we turned back disappointed because we couldn’t find a suitable parking space (maybe I’m stupid).
4. It is recommended that each scenic spot place free brochures introducing the attractions.
5. Although Fangta culture is not big, it has profound heritage and is worthy of in-depth travel by scholars.
6. Shajiabang is open and the scenery and maintenance are good.
I haven’t been to other places, so I can’t comment.
The above personal opinions are for reference only.
The administrative level is low, and the scenic spots in Wuxi are also very average, but the level is high, and the county-level city is too poorly known.
I am an old Changshu resident who has been away from my hometown for many years. I was very excited when I heard about the completion of the mountain trail last year. I went back and walked it all over again. I can’t say enough about it, especially on the side of Shanyang near Shanghu Lake. You have to take a highway and get close to big trucks. If you take the bus, it will be dangerous to eat ashes. It is said that there is a road at the foot of the mountain, but I couldn't find it at all. I asked many people who didn't know about it, and I asked the police station to no avail. Later I found out that I had to go to a park where I couldn't find the entrance, and there was a fee. I'm pretty convinced. The ancient city is in ruins, and the three places where I lived when I was a child have been demolished.
What does a retirement city do to become popular? If Sanfeng Qingliang Temple had not been demolished during the Cultural Revolution, it might still be a little better than Lingyin Temple. Even if everything is gone, even if it is rebuilt now, its scale will not be as big as the original one-tenth. Shajiabang only has a little bit of red culture. Shanghu has been filled in and dug out, but it is too small. If Yushan Forest Farm hadn’t opened up the farmhouse industry in recent years, the surrounding areas of Yushan would probably be useless except Yanzi’s Tomb and Baoyan.
Firstly, the transportation is inconvenient, and secondly, there is no special scenery.
The name is too rural, the scenic spot is not worth seeing, it is too close to the big city, and there are no overnight guests.
