What’s the matter with credit card dishonor?

When using a credit card, it shows non-acceptance, causing the transaction to fail. Many cardholders are confused because they don’t know what it means. So what should they do in this situation?

What happens when a credit card is not accepted

1. The payment amount exceeds the limit set by the bank or the maximum overdraft limit. In this case, you only need to reduce the payment amount or reset it. Limit is enough.

2. The usable credit limit is insufficient. In this case, you can only change the bank card for payment or reduce the card credit limit.

3. The card has been frozen. This is the most complicated situation. You must first consult the bank to find out why your credit card is frozen, and then solve the problem before you can apply for unfreezing. You can use it after unfreezing.

In addition to the three most common reasons mentioned above, there may be the following reasons why a credit card cannot be accepted:

1. Check non-UnionPay cards at an ATM machine other than the bank where the account is opened. or trade.

2. UnionPay inquiries or transactions are not supported at ATMs.

3. Some cards do not support off-site redemption.

4. The secondary card and the main card are frozen, overdrafted, or have insufficient balance, etc.

5. Other special reasons (including court asset freeze, etc.).

When your credit card is not accepted, you can call the bank's credit card service hotline and follow the prompts to enter the manual service to inquire about the reason.
