When doing online banking at ICBC, I was given a calculator-like thing called an ICBC electronic cipher.

1. ICBC Electronic Token is a new generation of security authentication tool launched by ICBC for electronic banking customers.

2. It can provide a more secure and reliable identity authentication method for customers using the bank’s online banking, telephone banking, mobile banking and other electronic banking channels.

3. It is the first new security tool launched by ICBC after U-Shield and Password Card. It has a hardware medium with built-in power supply and password generation chip, external display screen and numeric keyboard, and does not require the installation of any programs. It can be used through multiple channels such as electronic banking.

4. It must be used for online shopping, transfer, etc.
