If your credit card has expired, you can directly call the credit card customer service hotline to inquire about the expiration of your credit card. Credit cards have a useful life, usually two years for new cards. The number at the bottom of the front of the card is the number of years. When it expires, the card will be invalid and cannot be used. But it does not mean that customers can no longer enjoy credit services. The contract between the cardholder and the bank remains valid.

If the cardholder wants to continue using the card, he or she can apply to the bank to change the card. If the credit card type used by the cardholder is still issued by the bank, a card of the same type as the old card will be mailed. If the credit card bank is no longer issued, a card of a similar type will be mailed after discussion with the cardholder.

After the cardholder gets the card and reactivates it, the original rights and limits of the card will be retained and will not change. If the cardholder needs a higher limit, he or she can apply to the card-issuing bank when changing the card. The card-issuing bank will decide whether to increase the limit based on previous records and credit information.

If the cardholder does not want to continue using it, please be sure to apply for cancellation; if the cardholder has not decided whether to continue using it, he can call the customer service hotline to notify the card issuer. The card issuer will retain the card number and card rights for a certain period of time. When the cardholder needs to continue using it in the future, he or she can apply to the card issuer to change the card.
