Legal analysis: bank cards are divided into credit cards and debit cards, of which credit cards can be cancelled without cards, while debit cards need cards. At present, the cancellation of debit card must bring my ID card and debit card to the counter of the issuing bank's business outlets, and the cardholder needs to return the debit card to the bank after cancellation. Credit cards can be cancelled by calling the issuing bank's hotline. Of course, cardholders can also bring their ID cards and credit cards to the counter of the issuing bank's business outlets for cancellation. It is worth noting that whether it is a debit card or a credit card, the balance on the card needs to be taken out in advance when it is cancelled. If the credit card has arrears, it needs to be paid off. Finally, it should be noted that the cancellation period of credit cards is generally about 45 days. During these 45 days, the cardholder can no longer use the credit card, otherwise the cancellation application will be automatically withdrawn. In addition, 45 days after applying for account cancellation, it is best to call the bank again for insurance reasons to avoid unsuccessful account cancellation due to special reasons.
