JCB card (English name: JAPAN CREDIT BUREAU CARD, Chinese name: Kishimei Card or Japanese Finance Card) is a universal international credit card. It is a credit card jointly issued by Japan Sanwa Bank, Nippon Shinji Bank, Mitsui Banking Corporation, Kyowa Bank and Daiwa Bank in 1961. This credit card (2013) has been issued and circulated in 190 countries and regions around the world.

The credit card was issued in 1961 (only used in Japan).

After 1981, JCB started international business, established a global service network, and rapidly developed the international card issuance market, enabling JCB to issue 39.8 million cards and approximately 9.78 million special stores worldwide.

JCB has been used in 190 countries and regions around the world, has 29 overseas branches and agencies, and the number of overseas business cooperation agencies has expanded to more than 200.

The difference between JCB card, UnionPay card and Visa card:

UnionPay is a domestic bank card organization. We can rely on UnionPay to withdraw funds across domestic banks and spend money at any merchant. Some foreign countries support UnionPay withdrawals and purchases, such as Singapore and New Zealand.

VISA is one of the two major credit card organizations in the world. Its function is equivalent to UnionPay, but its scope of use covers the world. There are VISA merchants and cash machines all over the world. When we go abroad, we can generally use Visa wherever UnionPay is not available.
