Zhejiang Rural Credit Cooperatives started from 1952, aiming at serving agriculture, countryside and farmers, and played an irreplaceable role in promoting agricultural development, rural prosperity and increasing farmers' income.

On April 8, 2004, Zhejiang Rural Credit Cooperative Association was established. The province's rural credit cooperatives have their own headquarters in the province. By the end of June 20 10, 42 rural cooperative banks and 39 rural credit cooperatives had been established. On May 13, 2020, as the first initiator, we launched the "Digital Transformation Partnership Action" in conjunction with the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments.

On April 14, 2022, the reply from Zhejiang Banking Insurance Regulatory Bureau showed that Zhejiang Rural Commercial United Bank Co., Ltd. was allowed to start business with an approved registered capital of 5.025 billion yuan. The reply said that on the opening day of Zhejiang Rural Commercial Bank, the former Zhejiang Rural Credit Cooperative Union terminated itself, and the creditor's rights and debts were borne by the bank.
