China residents who have reached the age of 18 and have full capacity for civil conduct and good credit standing, foreigners with full capacity for civil conduct and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan with full capacity for civil conduct can apply for personal credit card master cards with their valid identity documents.
Personal cardholders can also apply for supplementary cards for specific natural persons with full civil capacity or natural persons with limited civil capacity. Supplementary card application materials must be confirmed by the main card holder by personal signature, customer service telephone recording, electronic signature or the way recognized by both the cardholder and the card issuer. The main cardholder can apply for cancellation of the supplementary card at any time.

According to Article 14 of the Credit Card Charter of China Merchants Bank (Ninth Edition):
Cardholders can use UnionPay, Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express or other bank card organizations to accept the logo overseas (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, the same below), or use the special merchants with UnionPay acceptance logo in China and other special merchants designated by the card issuer to spend their cards;
When a special merchant with the UnionPay acceptance logo spends money abroad or in China, the cardholder must enter the password in advance according to the agreement with the card issuer, and sign the same signature as the signature column on the back of the card on the purchase order, unless otherwise agreed between the cardholder and the card issuer or between the acceptance institution and the bank card organization.
Cardholders are required to present valid identity documents when withdrawing cash at overseas cash outlets, and enter passwords when withdrawing cash at ATMs; In domestic cash withdrawal outlets and ATMs, you must enter your password and show your valid ID.
