1. If the applicant applies through the counter, it usually takes ten working days from the receipt of the application materials submitted by the applicant to the completion of the credit card review;

2. If the application is made through online banking or mobile banking: if the application is made for the first time, it will take 7 working days for the bank to conduct the preliminary examination. If the preliminary examination is passed, there will be three situations:

(1) The Commissioner may contact the applicant by phone within 4 working days to arrange for a door-to-door card;

(2) It is possible to send a short message to the applicant, asking him to go to any outlet of China Merchants Bank for a face-to-face interview within 3 days. If the face-to-face interview passes, the card will be released;

(3) The card may be issued to the applicant first, and the applicant can go to any China Merchants Bank for a face-to-face interview within 6 days to activate the card.
