Zhengzhou, called Shangdu in ancient times, is the capital of Henan Province, a megacity and the core city of Central Plains urban agglomeration, an important central city in the central region approved by the State Council and an important comprehensive transportation hub of the country.
Zhengzhou is an important hub city of railway, aviation, electric power, postal service and telecommunications in China, and has the largest train marshalling station in Asia. Zhengzhou Airport Area is the only comprehensive experimental area of national airport economy, and Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange is the first futures exchange. Zhengzhou Joint Logistics Support Center of Zhengzhou Joint Logistics Support Force and the residence of the Fourth Circuit Court in the Supreme People's Court, People's Republic of China (PRC) are also the core components of Zheng Luoxin National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone and Henan Free Trade Zone. On October 20 17 1 month, the National Development and Reform Commission approved to support Zhengzhou to build a national central city.
