Public bidding posture
The gesture of futures bidding was used in the early days when there was no computer system. Because the trading place is noisy, gesture quotation is more convenient.
In the early days of domestic futures trading, Suzhou Stock Exchange also adopted the method of outcry trading, and its atmosphere was much more active than that of computer trading now.
Therefore, at present, some international exchanges are still using this quotation method in order to seek a trading atmosphere.
Bidding gestures can be divided into two types: indicating buying, selling, opening, closing (direction), contract month and quotation (number).
Because the quotation is made by gesture, in the past, different kinds of futures trading were carried out in different trading pools, because it was too troublesome to switch back and forth and quote the price by gesture, unlike the current computer trading.
1, buy and sell gestures are:
Five fingers open, palm outward means selling, inward means buying.
Make a fist with the other hand, with the thumb pointing down to indicate the open position and the thumb pointing up to indicate the closed position (other gestures can also be used).
2. The reported figures are:
Stretching out your index finger means "1"
Stretching out the index finger and middle finger means "2"
Stretching out the middle finger, ring finger and little finger means "3"
Stretching out four fingers except thumb means "4"
All five fingers are sticking out to indicate "5"
Clench one's fist and show one's thumb for "6" (thumbs up, that is, our gesture of praise).
Hold out your thumb and forefinger to indicate "7" (we mean the gesture of 8)
Hold out your thumb, forefinger and middle finger to make a fist, which means "8"
The forefinger and thumb are pinched together, and the other three fingers are clenched to indicate "9"
All fingertips are pinched together to mean "10"
