While everyone is angry, they are also asking this question: Is there any authoritative department that can tell us whether China has ever imported Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee? To this end, our reporter exclusively interviewed the Ambassador of Jamaica to China today. Learn about the growing environment, yield and export status of pure Blue Mountain coffee. Let's hear his introduction.
Courtney Rattray, Ambassador of Jamaica to China, said: (To the effect) Introducing the growing environment and annual output of Blue Mountain coffee.
In previous interviews, many coffee shops and coffee bean wholesalers, including Shangdao Coffee, said that their Blue Mountain coffee beans are green beans imported from abroad and roasted by themselves.
Coffee bean wholesaler: We roast it domestically
Shangdao coffee staff: Roasted domestically
But Ambassador Rattray told us , so far, Jamaica has not exported green beans directly to China. The so-called claim of importing green beans from abroad and roasting them domestically is obviously a lie.
Ambassador Rattray also said that even imported roasted beans must have the Blue Mountain Coffee logo of the Jamaica Coffee Industry Bureau printed on the outer packaging. However, there is no such logo on the outer packaging of Blue Mountain coffee beans purchased by this reporter from Shangdao Coffee and the wholesale market.
Courtney Rattray, Ambassador of Jamaica to China: The logo of Blue Mountain Coffee and the two must-have certificates.
