Successive county committees and governments have attached great importance to the development of mango industry in Huaping. After full investigation, analysis and demonstration, they established the mango development idea of "developing a small number of early-maturing varieties, moderately developing middle-maturing varieties and focusing on developing late-maturing varieties", and put forward that by 2065, 50,000 mu of high-quality mangoes will be developed, 40,000 mu of late-maturing high-quality mangoes will be realized, and a high-quality mango ecological corridor and 6,000 mu of high-quality mango demonstration park will be established along the Li Pan Highway. In the autumn of 2008, in order to further enlarge and strengthen the mango industry and expand the popularity of Huaping Mango, Huaping County Party Committee and government decided to hold the first Huaping Mango Festival.
