What kinds of stocks are there?
According to different classification methods, stocks can be divided into different categories:

① Divided into state shares, legal person shares and individual shares according to shareholders. The rights and obligations of the three are basically the same. The difference is that the investment funds of state-owned shares come from the state and cannot be transferred; The investment funds of legal person shares come from enterprises and institutions and can only be transferred after being approved by the People's Bank of China; Individual stock investment funds come from individuals and can be freely listed and circulated.

② According to shareholders' rights, it can be divided into common stock, preferred stock and their mixture. The income of common stock depends entirely on the company's profits, so it is risky, but it enjoys the rights of priority subscription, surplus distribution, participation in business voting, free transfer of shares and so on. Preferred shares enjoy priority rights such as receiving dividends and giving priority to repayment, but the dividends are determined in advance and will not change with the company's profits. Generally, they have no right to vote, and the company has the right to take it back when necessary. Preferred stock is also divided into participation priority and non-participation priority, accumulation and non-accumulation, convertible and non-convertible, recyclable and non-recyclable.

(3) According to the par form, stocks can be divided into four types: nominal stocks, non-nominal stocks, registered stocks and bearer stocks. The par value of stocks with par value is marked on the par value, and once listed, its par value often has no practical significance; No par value stocks only represent the proportion of total funds. All stocks listed in China are par value stocks. Registered shares record the names of shareholders in the specially set register of shareholders and handle the transfer procedures; The names of bearer shares are not recorded in the register and need not be transferred after sale.

④ According to voting rights, there are three kinds: single right, multiple rights and no right. A stock with only one voting right for each stock is called a single-right stock; A stock with multiple voting rights per share is called a multi-rights stock; Stocks without voting rights are called unauthorized stocks.

⑤ According to the scope of issuance, it can be divided into four types: A shares, B shares, H shares and F shares. A shares are ordinary shares issued in China for domestic residents and units to buy in RMB; B-share is a special common stock bought and sold by foreign investors in foreign currency in China. H shares are common shares issued in Hong Kong by companies registered in China and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. F shares are common shares issued and listed overseas by China Stock Company.
