What about expired Coconut Island Deer Turtle Wine?
A few days ago, this newspaper received a letter signed by an employee of Hainan Coconut Island Co., Ltd., which described in detail the fact that Hainan Coconut Island Company sold expired products in Hubei, Jiangxi and other provinces in the name of so-called "gift clothes" in pursuit of profits and even regardless of people's lives and health.

Employees expose themselves to the dark: expired products become gifts.

We are employees of Hainan Coconut Island Hubei Company and have worked in Coconut Island for several years. However, in the past few years, we are surprised to find that this listed company with a certain scale and popularity in the industry, a large enterprise group that mainly advertises in the health industry, collects expired products every year, changes the packaging on the spot, and then sells them in the market again. Out of conscience, we report this matter as follows:

In July of 200 1 year, Coconut Island products began to enter the Hubei market. Due to the company's misjudgment of the market, there was a backlog of nearly 3 million yuan that year. These overstocked goods should be digested within the shelf life (that is, in 2002). However, due to the highest prices of similar products in neighboring provinces such as Hubei, Jiangxi and Hunan, the goods from Hunan and Jiangxi often flow to Hubei at low prices, impacting the Hubei market, so these stocks have not been digested in Hubei.

In order to sell these stocks in Hubei, Hainan headquarters decided to adopt new packaging specifically for Hubei market. In August 2002, the company's headquarters recovered this batch of stocks in Hubei, and at the same time, the company launched a promotion campaign of "scalding to Hainan" (the words "Hubei new packaging" will appear when a film is coated on the bottle cap), and all the products in Hubei market appear as new products and new packaging. However, due to the company's improper marketing strategy, the sales volume in Hubei market decreased by 50% in that year, and the cumulative backlog of 500ml new packaging products was 6,543,800+0.26 million bottles.

In June 5438+mid-February, 2003, in order to reduce losses, the Central China Headquarters of Hainan Coconut Island Company made a major decision to transport the expired 500ml bottle of deer turtle wine back to Hainan for refilling, and re-market the 100ml bottle of deer turtle wine which was almost two years overdue.

After being reported to Hainan Headquarters for approval, Hainan Company sent a new package. The so-called new package just wiped off the date on the bottle cap with the chemical butanone, then covered the smeared place with the self-adhesive sticker printed with "gift package", tore off the old bottle sticker on the original bottle, and put on a new bottle sticker. After all this work, it was put into a small gift box for packaging. In this way, after nearly half a month's fine processing, the company sent the first batch of 72,000 bottles 100ml of processed deer turtle wine to Ganzhou market in Jiangxi Province from June 5438+ 10+July 2004. Because this batch of wine was exposed during the Spring Festival sales, they didn't process another1.2000 bottles 100ml deer turtle wine after the Spring Festival.

During our four years working in Coconut Island, we saw that this kind of packaging was frequently changed. For example, 250ml deer turtle wine and rare deer turtle wine in three years were delivered to Hubei market only at 200 1 by Hainan Coconut Island Company, and now they are still on the market, but the company changed the packaging several times to make the sales appear "normal". There is also an expired variety of 600ml deer turtle wine. The company just erases the production date on the inner box, then puts it into a gift box and sells it in the market.

The contents reflected above can be checked in the warehouse in Hubei, the company accounts can be consulted, and the empirical evidence can be found in large-scale stores and small and medium-sized terminals. Of course, the company's behavior of stealing columns is not only operated in Hubei market, but also staged in other provinces and cities in China, such as Jiangxi and Hunan. This practice of Coconut Island Company has indeed reduced its own losses, but it has deeply hurt the interests of consumers.

Hainan Coconut Island, as a listed company, a brand recommended by China Consumers Association, a brand-name product of health care products and a large state-owned enterprise in safety award that has won food quality for many times, absurdly takes "changing the packaging of expired products will not kill people anyway" as the guideline of shopping malls, at the expense of consumers' legitimate rights and interests, regardless of people's life, health and safety. Their behavior should be condemned by the whole society and severely punished by the relevant departments. At the same time, we should also ask some associations that award various honors to such a dishonest enterprise. How much do they know about the enterprise? What criteria do they use to judge an enterprise and give them so many "honors"? Food safety is related to people's livelihood. I hereby urge the relevant departments to investigate and deal with it in advance and ask the media to supervise it.

The reporter conducted an in-depth investigation: cheating customers by crossing the sea.

After receiving this letter, the reporter immediately investigated several hypermarkets and wholesalers in Hubei Province.

According to the reporter's investigation, the sales of Lugui wine have strong seasonality, and the peak season of sales is during the Spring Festival, accounting for about 80% of the annual sales. Because the sales period is relatively concentrated, manufacturers should prepare a large number of goods before the year, in case of emergency. After the end of the peak sales season, with the arrival of the off-season, a large amount of inventory is inevitable.

The reporter found in the counter of Coconut Island Lugui Wine in Wuhan Metro Supermarket that some friction marks can be clearly seen from these seemingly exquisite outer packages. The column where the date of production was originally printed is blurred, but it can still be seen that the code is printed here and the new date of production is printed below. The reporter bought this bottle of wine and found the after-sales service department. A young lady surnamed Li received the reporter. In front of the after-sales service lady, the reporter opened the box and soon found the prize-winning ironing office named "Hot to the Grand Prize Tour Hainan" held in 2002 above the bottle cap. The reporter immediately pointed out that the bottle of wine had expired. Miss Li agreed with the reporter's question and expressed her willingness to actively assist consumers to solve the after-sales service problem.

Subsequently, the reporter went to Wu Shang discount store Fruit Lake Store. The reporter bought two bottles of 600ml gift boxes marked "Five-year-old for Shanghai" here. Take out the round box inside and see, the bottom is printed with "02 new packaging". The reporter searched the whole wine box inside and out, and there was no date of production. After careful identification, it was found that there were obvious scratches in the column of production date. The reporter can't help wondering: Is it that a listed company like Coconut Island forgot to mark the production date, making its products "three no products", or is it intentional? According to common sense, according to the sales regulations of the company's product division, the products "exclusively for Shanghai" are sold in regular stores in Wuhan, and the regional market leaders have not reflected anything. Is this not normal? The reporter took this bottle of wine and reported it to the service desk of Wu Shang Supermarket Fruit Lake Store. A supervisor surnamed Chen said that the situation reflected by consumers does exist and he is willing to actively reflect this matter to the factory.

The reporter carefully examined these deer turtle wines in different packages and found several circles of color stains on the upper part of the bottle. Relevant experts told reporters that this is the precipitation formed in the bottle after the wine has been volatilized for a long time. The longer the time, the more circles and the less wine. The insider revealed to the reporter in detail the process of "changing the old look" of Coconut Island Company's inventory: the company organized the family members of warehouse porters and some employees of the company to make modifications in the warehouse. For the production date on the packaging box, one method is to stick it with double-sided tape and then pull it off, and the other method is to erase it with rubber and then print a new date with screen printing. For the date on the bottle, they erased it with butanone, and then stuck a sticker with "gift package" printed on it. Uncover the glue, and you can see that there is a corroded place on the bottle cap that is white. Tear off all the labels on the bottle and put on new labels. Because the workers worked piece by piece and were not very careful, they could still see some fragments left by the old labels when they were torn off.

In several wine wholesalers in Wuhan, the reporter saw the documents that Coconut Island Company asked wholesalers for packaging fees when changing packaging in recent years. According to these wholesalers, Coconut Island Company will ask them to charge according to the number of packages changed each year. In recent years, they have spent a lot of money on this.

It is also known that due to too many people in Wuhan during the Spring Festival this year, Coconut Island Company sent 7200 bottles of wine with the specification of 100ml to Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province for sale, and the result was reported by a consumer to the local industrial and commercial department. The plan was ruined.

On March 24th, the reporter called the sales headquarters of Coconut Island Company in Huazhong, Wuhan to inform the company of the fact that it was suspected of repackaging expired products as gifts. The company told reporters that a manager named Zhi was in charge of this matter. When the reporter talked to the branch manager on the phone, the branch manager told the reporter, "I'm not in Wuhan, so I'm not sure what you said."

Before the press release, when the reporter visited several stores again, Coconut Island Deer Turtle Wine had disappeared. Upon inquiry, I learned that the company has withdrawn goods from major supermarkets these days. The reporter came to the company's warehouse in Xu Dong Street, Wuchang to inquire. The storekeeper said that 8,000 pieces of goods originally stored here had just been delivered to the Hainan headquarters.
