Professor Geng Jianxin's main research interests are listed company accounting, enterprise group accounting and auditing theory and practice. He has published more than 200 papers in academic journals, including more than 50 high-quality academic papers in key core journals such as Managing the World, China Soft Science, Economic Theory and Management, Accounting Research and Audit Research, and has won many excellent paper awards from China Accounting Society, China Auditing Society, China Finance Society and China Renmin University. He has written and edited more than 20 monographs, textbooks and translations. The monograph "Modern Enterprise Accounting Management" and "New Theory of Derivative Financial Instruments Accounting" won the second prize of the 4th and 8th Excellent Scientific Research Achievements of Beijing Philosophy and Social Sciences respectively. The monograph "Accounting Management of Enterprise Groups" won the Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award of China Renmin University, and "Accounting for Commodity Futures and Derivative Financial Instruments" won the Outstanding Book Award of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. China Accounting Research Literature Abstracts (1979- 1999), edited by him, is one of the academic masterpieces promoted by the Chinese Accounting Society. His translations of Occupation of Certified Public Accountants-Opportunities, Responsibilities and Service Scope and Advanced Accounting and Auditing have exerted great influence in the accounting and auditing circles. The textbook "Auditing (Fourth Edition)" edited by him was rated as the national excellent textbook in 2009.

Professor Geng Jianxin has also made some achievements in the field of teaching. Won the second prize of national teaching achievement of the Ministry of Education. The course "Enterprise Accounting" taught by him was awarded as a national-level excellent course in 2007, and he himself was awarded as a famous teacher in Beijing in 2008.
