When the futures account is cancelled, investors only need to bring their relevant certificates to the business department of the securities company. After the customer service personnel verify their identity information, they will guide investors to sign the confirmation letter and application form for account cancellation in the futures market. After the investor withdraws funds from the account, the securities company will file the contract and close all the rights of the investor. After the exchange cancels the trading code, the futures account is officially closed.

The futures account shall not apply for account cancellation under the following circumstances.

1. holds open contracts or unfinished delivery items in the account;

2. There is an outstanding creditor-debtor relationship between the investor and the company;

3. The trading account is frozen by the state law enforcement agencies;

4. The trading account is notified by the futures regulatory department or the futures exchange not to withdraw funds temporarily;

5. Other relevant provisions in the measures for the administration of futures companies.

It is worth mentioning that if the futures account has been fully withdrawn and there is no transaction for a long time, then the account will be turned into a dormant account. When it is used again, investors need to save money to activate it.
