All kinds of futures contracts have a delivery month (the last expiration month). In order to distinguish them, the year and month are added after the contract varieties to identify them.

Shanghai Copper (also known as Shanghai Copper) 0707 represents the copper futures contract for delivery in July 2007. Similarly, Shanghai Copper 0708, 0709, 080 1 were contracts delivered in August and September of 2007 and in October of 2008/kloc-0+.
