The Survey Report on Employment Quality of School of Business Administration of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics investigates the employment quality of undergraduate graduates of School of Business Administration of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics through in-depth interviews, and analyzes and summarizes the employment destination and employment choices of graduates of our college, as well as the services that need to be provided in the process of employment, so as to provide valuable information for students' career planning and employment guidance center to carry out related work more effectively. (Because the employment quality of both masters and doctors is good, there is not much room for improvement. In order to ensure that this survey is more targeted, the undergraduate representatives of the college are selected as the research objects. )
First, the survey sample description
The total sample of this survey is 465 graduates from the School of Business Administration of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in the 20th15th year. By randomly selecting 20 students from various majors to participate in the interview.
Second, the overall situation of the interview analysis
(A) Analysis of employment intention
Through interviews, it is found that most undergraduates choose to work, about 30% choose to continue their studies, and the least choose to go abroad, start a business or other students. But if the college entrance examination fails, more students choose World War II. It can be seen from the data of the graduates of the 20th15th class that most unemployed undergraduates choose World War II students.
When undergraduates are employed for the first time, their employment intentions are mainly concentrated in financial institutions, large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises and institutions.
However, the choice of private enterprises, grass-roots employment projects and students in Selected Graduates is very low, which requires employment departments and employment staff at all levels to jointly create an atmosphere of going to grass-roots employment, carry out targeted measures, and focus on guiding and publicizing grass-roots employment policies.
When it comes to the expected employment industry, more than half of the students expect to enter the bank, while the students who choose other financial institutions are scattered, and the proportion of securities and trusts is at an average level; Students who choose insurance, funds and futures are the least, but they are on the rise year by year. It shows that the employment goals of students in our school are relatively centralized and single, and it is necessary to guide students to diversify their goals.
When it comes to areas that are willing to work, most graduates prefer southwest areas such as Chengdu and Chongqing. Followed by Beishangguangshen and Shenzhen; After graduation, I returned to my birthplace again. When asked why Sichuan and Chongqing were chosen, most students said that Chengdu and Chongqing were attractive, with low competitive pressure, high living comfort and low living cost. Therefore, the college can strengthen the guidance to the employment areas of students and create conditions to encourage our undergraduates to go out of the southwest and go to the whole country. At the same time, when making the enrollment plan, the school can also expand the number of students in North China and South China according to the situation.
When it comes to wages, many students have their own rational understanding. Usually, the expected basic monthly salary is 4,500 yuan, which is also related to regional differences. Among them, the salary requirement for interested students going to Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen is 7000 yuan. It can be seen that the graduates of our college generally have higher salary expectations for the first employment, which is higher than the market average salary.
When it comes to choosing an employment unit, what is the most important? The answer is: personal development space and industry development prospects. The second is the level of salary and welfare, which shows that students in our school have certain long-term plans in the process of choosing jobs. Compared with salary and welfare, they pay more attention to the future direction of the industry and personal development space. Thirdly, the requirements for occupational stability and geographical location are relatively high.
Three. Research conclusions and suggestions
(A) graduates of our college have a clear orientation and clear goals.
The graduates of our college are more competitive in the job market; This is closely related to the clear goal of talent training in our school. While learning theoretical knowledge, students in our school constantly improve and improve their employability by carrying out colorful practical activities, scientific training, professional competitions and practical exercises. In the process of employment choice, paying equal attention to personal development and company development embodies lofty career choice goals and clear career development plans, which is closely related to the college leaders' great attention to the employment quality of college students. In 20 14, the college set up a student career development center to integrate resources inside and outside the school, establish an atmosphere of collaborative, all-round and whole-process education, emphasize the role of role models, and make students clear their career development goals in the lower grades by holding employment experience exchange meetings, research and sharing meetings, etc.
(B) China's graduates' employment intention is relatively concentrated.
Graduates' employment willingness industries are mainly distributed in financial institutions, large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises and institutions, and these three areas attract the most; Others, such as private enterprises, grass-roots employment projects and Selected Graduates, only a few graduates participated. It can be seen that our school, as a well-known financial college, has obvious financial characteristics of its students, and most of them aim to enter the counterpart financial industry for employment. This is related to the employment tradition of our school; At the same time, it also reflects that the employment competitiveness of graduates in our college is still relatively weak in the diversified employment market of financial institutions, and they lack the corresponding strength to compete with the national and even global financial elites of world-class investment banks, fund companies, insurance institutions and other high-end enterprises.
(3) Undergraduate students in our college have high expectations for the monthly salary of their first employment.
Graduates of our college have a tendency to expect their first job to have a higher monthly salary. For the first time, job seekers' expectations of monthly salary are generally based on a reasonable assessment of their own strength and a comprehensive understanding of the job market. It can be seen that graduates of our college are optimistic and confident about their competitiveness in the job market. Only after comprehensively evaluating one's own strength and understanding the overall job market can one give one's reasonable monthly salary expectation.
(D) Increase the efforts of graduates to serve the grassroots.
Graduates of our college are willing to engage in the golden rice bowl industry and high-end industries, paying more attention to the nature of the unit and professional stability; They are unwilling to participate in grassroots employment projects, do related exercises at the grassroots level, and serve in hard areas. In addition, because they are relatively competitive in the job market, they can basically find satisfactory jobs. Therefore, the motivation to start a business is not sufficient, and everyone yearns for a stable, comfortable and decent life.
Therefore, the college should strengthen the propaganda and mobilization of grassroots employment projects, encourage and guide more outstanding graduates to exercise at the grassroots level and where the motherland needs them most, take root in hard jobs, and contribute youth and wisdom to the development of poor and backward areas.
(e) Graduates of our college are rational and economical in evaluating employment opportunities.
Considering all aspects of an employment unit, the graduates of our college agree that the industry development prospect of the unit and the future development space of the individual are the most important, followed by salary and welfare, which shows that they have a long-term and rational vision when choosing; However, professional counterparts, corporate culture atmosphere and unit nature are relatively ignored, ranking in the bottom three in turn.
This is related to the relevant courses in our school and the cultural atmosphere of financial colleges. In such an atmosphere, students' multiple abilities are cultivated while their humanistic qualities are ignored, which may cause a series of negative problems such as lack of faith, spiritual emptiness and social conflicts in the future.
Therefore, schools should provide practical guidance on employment skills to help students improve their employment competitiveness, and at the same time, carry out more cultural quality courses to cultivate students' humanistic quality and enhance their spiritual and cultural feelings.
