Consumers can claim compensation for purchasing expired goods, as follows: 1. Consumers can demand compensation for losses and require producers or sellers to pay three times the price of goods. 2. Consumers can claim damages and 10 times the price from producers or sellers when purchasing expired food. When they buy expired food, they can claim compensation from the operator with the shopping voucher. If the consumption of expired food causes personal injury to consumers, the producer or seller shall be investigated for compensation liability according to law. In the production and sale of food that does not meet the food safety standards, consumers can demand compensation of ten times the price from producers and sellers in addition to compensation for losses. If consumers buy expired products, they can ask the merchants to return them or go to the merchants to claim compensation. Anyone who deals in food, food additives and food-related products that have exceeded the shelf life stipulated by Chinese laws and causes personal, property or other damage shall be liable for compensation according to law. In the production of food that does not meet the food safety standards or the sale of food that is known to fail to meet the food safety standards, the consumer may, in addition to compensation for losses, demand compensation of ten times the price or three times the loss from the producer or seller. If the amount of compensation is less than 1000 yuan, it is 1000 yuan.

The producers and operators who accept the consumer's claim for compensation shall implement the first responsibility system, pay in advance, and shall not shirk; If it is the producer's responsibility, the operator has the right to recover from the producer after compensation; If it is the responsibility of the operator, the producer has the right to recover from the operator after compensation.
