What impressed me the most was a Bordeaux BMW 750iL (yes, the tail label was iL, not Li, and it should be E32 after checking). As a long-time fan of BMW, I finally got a chance to share my car experience. Love car X2 is a relatively small BMW with chassis code F39, which belongs to compact SUV (or SAC according to BMW's classification habit). It is developed on the basis of UKL horizontal precursor platform, and it is the same platform as car 1 Series, 2 Series Travel Edition (AT/GT), X 1 and MINI.
Maybe fans who know something about BMW will feel disdainful when they see the letter UKL. UKL's full name in German is Untere? Klasse, literally translated into English is Lower? Class, Chinese almost means "low-level", and the naming of OEM has clearly indicated that the positioning of this platform is honesty and frankness. Compared with the 7-series platform named GKL, it is really a bit low.
It's not just price positioning, Untere? Klasse is also embodied in front drive, transverse engine/gearbox, non-double-ball front axle and so on. X2 hardly occupies the traditional essence of BMW. With what you and I know about BMW, what reason do we have to continue reading/writing this article?
Such as F35? The owner of 320Li, I naturally sneered at UKL at first. Although the F35 has a long axis, it is balanced in all aspects: rear drive, longitudinal engine, ZF? 8AT gearbox, front double ball joints -(5) connecting rod suspension, the overall mechanical quality can be described as the benchmark of B-class car home/sports car.
As the saying goes, it is difficult to live frugally from luxury, and it has been "spoiled" by such a sophisticated machine as F35 for so long. It has become an instinct to find fault with driving experience and driving texture. The starting point of this car purchase is to find a more flexible and convenient short-wheelbase boutique car. Based on preconceived ideas, the mechanical quality of UKL platform is declining, F39? X2 is not the first choice.
F20 hatchback 1 series four-cylinder version has long since been released, F22? 225i also has few existing cars/on-the-road cars or quotas. At present, booking futures is bound to face more uncertainty. While hesitating, I saw a golden car in the exhibition hall of the familiar 4S shop, which is the protagonist of our article, F39? X2? 2.0T (four-cylinder version,192hp).
Out of curiosity that I haven't driven a BMW driver seriously before, I asked for a test drive. After a few laps, I was surprised and signed the order decisively. Holding hands with this store for the second time, there is no excitement of "if only I saw it at first sight", and there is no need to test each other when I have never met. This golden X2 was quickly put into my pocket.
Since the car was picked up in April 2020, it has run more than 7,000 kilometers. Exclusive highlight configuration, personally, it is mainly 12 speaker Harman audio, integrated M sports seat, seat heating and automatic parking. In addition, the car has been equipped with comfortable entry when it leaves the factory (double doors in the front and a kick induction switch in the trunk), which is also very practical.
However, from the classic rear drive F35 to UKL's predecessor F39? X2, is this a retrogression?
Yaomujin was the main advertising color of X2 imported version when it was first introduced to China. At that time, it seemed to be called streamer gold, which was high-profile and beautiful without losing its youthful vitality. "On the contrary" is the definition given to TA by BMW China. Indeed, spending 200,000 to 300,000 yuan on a compact car means the opposite.
In terms of appearance, this car is not much different from the imported version except for the words BMW Brilliance at the rear and the cancelled front fog lights. The main difference between the two exterior kits lies in the color matching of the body. The most striking features of the M off-road kit are the silver-gray color jump design of the front and rear bumpers, wheel arches and four-door lower guard plates, and the silver-white window decorative strip, which makes the body more layered.
The color jumping parts of the front and rear bumpers and the window exterior of the M sports suit are all black highlights, and the four-door lower guard is also the same color as the body. As for which suit looks better, it depends on the reader's aesthetic preference.
The BMW logo on the C-pillar is the only BMW model currently on sale. Among competing products at the same level, Audi Q2 also has the same design, but Audi's C-pillar logo is similar to the plane effect of transfer printing, without BMW's logo "bump" and "real material".
Interior is a common layout of F chassis: from top to bottom, it is the central control panel, air conditioning outlet, 1-8 custom function button (the entrance of CD with lighting effect is cancelled, and the exposed plastic cover is slightly abrupt), air conditioning knob, air volume adjustment, seat heating and other buttons. The key positions are basically the same as those of a group of UKL brothers. All the components of the center console should be the same as X 1, but compared with X 1.
From F35, there is no obvious difference in interactive logic. However, the touch of the buttons is thin, and the damping of the left light knob is rough, which is a great retrogression compared with the thick and accurate feeling of the same part of F35. The dashboard and door panel are covered with soft plastic with leather texture, and the visual texture is not bad in this price car.
In particular, the air conditioning temperature adjustment range of UKL model is 1 degree, and there is no red and blue knob; The rear-drive platform models such as F35 are 0.5 degrees, and they are also equipped with red and blue knobs to fine-tune the temperature. The latter temperature control is undoubtedly more accurate.
M sports steering wheel (commonly known as "thong"), 6-color atmosphere lights, electric tailgate, automatic parking, etc. They are all standard for 2020 four-cylinder models. When the F30/F35 is in full swing, especially before the mid-term change, this steering wheel is the exclusive weapon of the 328, and it is also a necessary option for countless low-end car owners to modify. The "old and young" models that are now delegated to the F chassis have better grip and button texture than the M sports steering wheel of the G chassis.
The 6-color ambient light has six colors: orange, light orange ("bronze"), white, blue, green and purple, which can be switched manually according to the mood, and automatic switching is not supported. The electric tailgate is very practical in SUV models with a wide range of tailgate opening, and the opening height can be set in the car system. In addition, the tailgate switch is equipped at the lower left of the main driver's door panel, which is an improvement compared with F35, which has no switch in the car and needs to touch the key every time the tailgate is opened.
Although the sound system is 12 speaker Harman with 360W power amplifier, compared with F35 16 speaker Harman, there are fewer speakers, no L7 surround sound, the power of the power amplifier is slightly lower, and it is not the most optical fiber bus, but the subjective sense of hearing is also far from the standard "stereo" 6 speakers of F35. Its sound is clear and transparent, full of layers, which can basically meet the needs of daily listening to songs, but it does not have the ambient light of the Bao Hua series sound net cover.
The exclusive one-piece M sports seat is similar in appearance to the sports car seat on the M series, with outstanding visual sense of grade. Unfortunately, the fabric is Sensatec synthetic leather, which is obviously different from Dakota leather in the mainstream period of F chassis in softness, breathability and smell, but it is easier to clean than suede or cloth imported from X2 before.
The sitting feeling is still hard, but it is thicker than the thin seat of F35. Here, I will focus on the backrest part of this seat: the headrest is integrated and immovable, and the support and wrapping of the head and neck are better than those of ordinary sports seats. Facing the back row of the second row, it is made of synthetic leather, with storage bags, and it feels soft, not the hard plastic of ordinary seats.
With a small rear space, passengers' knees will not touch hard plastic plates, and the visual experience and ride experience will be improved. But personally, all BMW sports seats have an unfriendly character-no matter how to adjust them, the supporting parts on the side of the seats are still too hard and too high, which leads to the feeling that the fatter people are caught in the chairs, and at the same time, people who are old and inconvenient to get on and off often stumble.
In terms of internal space, compared with UKL's brother: X 1? & gt? X2? ≈? Mini? Peasant? & gt? Car 1 series. The rear legroom of X 1 beat X2; Mini? COUNTRYMAN has a completely different circular design style, and the space is not equal to X2. 1 series cars have small rear legroom and lateral space, and the rear row is not standard configuration, so the loading capacity is slightly inferior.
Isn't X2 space X 1 and F35? 320Li is so luxurious, it is still enough, except, of course, bringing a baby. And the car price is MINI? Peasant? & gt? X 1? & gt? X2? & gt? Car 1 series. Overall, the space and price of X2 are relatively balanced in UKL platform.
X2' s driving experience, compared with F35, is not retrogressive, which is the primary factor that makes me decide to pay the bill quickly. X2 is very sturdy in most everyday driving conditions, even the steering wheel is heavier than F35. Compared with UKL brothers, X2 is a balanced player in sports with respect to the long body and soft suspension of X 1, the light float of car 1 when driving at high speed, and the hard state of MINI.
Switching from F35, which is used to driving, the difference between front drive and rear drive is obvious. Although the directional directivity is good, the accuracy of "hitting where you point" is still there, but the steering accuracy is about 15% lower than that of F35 at the same speed, and the turning radius is naturally smaller than that of F35 at low speed. When accelerating rapidly, the unevenness of the road surface will be transmitted to the steering wheel to produce a slight swing, while the F35 and other rear-driven vehicles will not have this problem.
The suspension spring with a wheelbase of 2670mm is flexible enough, more "hard" and resilient. Vibration filtering is crisp and neat, there is no unnecessary shaking, and the support for corners and sides is also in place, which brings a smaller sense of roll to the occupants in the car than F35. With the 2.0T transverse B48 engine and Getrak 7DCT300 dual clutch gearbox, the acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h is sharper, and the acceleration dynamic response above 100km/h is more direct and rapid.
Economy, comfort and sport are three driving modes, and the power output level under the same throttle size is higher than that of F35. The ride comfort of this power system is not better than N20/B48 and ZF? 8AT, even in the speed range of 20-30km/h, it can better control the recoil. Of course, after all, the dual clutch is closer to the manual gearbox in structure, so when you shift from N gear to D gear or R gear, you can still feel the "buzzing" sound of the manual clutch when you are careful.
When driving at high speed, up to 160km/h (for safety reasons, no matter how high the speed is, it has not been tested), the chassis stability is not worse than that of F35, and the car seems to be firmly attracted on the road. If you continue to accelerate, the feeling of pushing back is still obvious. You know, this is a relatively higher-end SUV. In the case that the mechanical foundation is inherently inferior to the rear-drive platform, it is not easy to practice the low-cost precursor platform here.
The driving posture can be adjusted very high, bringing a better view, but it will not have the swaying feeling of a general SUV. It is natural to refuse. Compared with F35, you can only sit on the floor, so there are many more choices. In addition to sitting posture and appearance can be aligned with SUV, X2' s overall driving sense is more inclined to hatchback. X2 is a pleasant separation from the outside and the inside for people who need both the atmosphere of SUV appearance and the feeling of driving.
Generally speaking, X2 brings a relatively heavy and solid driving feeling with a relatively thin mechanical foundation. As a century-old shop, BMW's accumulation and heritage can not be underestimated.
I have driven more than 7000 kilometers up to now. In daily driving, the ratio of expressway to urban area is about 60:40. The air conditioner turns on the automatic air volume of 23 degrees, and the average fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is about 9 liters, which is different from F35? 320Li is almost even slightly higher.
It may be because the car is easy to drive and has enough power, so it drives very fast unconsciously, especially at high speed, which has a very obvious impact on fuel consumption. At the time of 5 thousand kilometers, the 4S who bought a car in advance made the first insurance, including car condition inspection and oil change. Total maintenance price of X2 engine oil 1076 yuan (using standard 5W30 all in synthetic engine oil, certified by BMW and OEM by Shell); If it is necessary to upgrade to high-end engine oil 0W20, the total price is 155 1 yuan.
The feeling of high-end oil is really different. Whether to upgrade depends on personal preference. The manufacturer's standard is to maintain the oil every 10000 km. B48 four-cylinder engine needs 5.25 liters for primary maintenance. It should be pointed out that X2? The 2020 model is a national six B model, equipped with a tail gas particulate trap (GPF). Therefore, it is necessary to use original new engine oil with low ash content (the shell color is light gray). If unqualified engine oil is used, the particulate trap may be damaged.
Each model has some unsatisfactory aspects, so let's talk about X2 directly.
1. Idle jitter: First of all, when idling in N gear, put your hands on the steering wheel and you can feel a slight continuous jitter on the wheel. Don't think that four cylinders won't shake. This should be the congenital deficiency of UKL platform. Different from the rhythmic vibration of the B38 three-cylinder engine before, even the shaking visible to the naked eye, this vibration may be almost imperceptible to the owner with thick lines, but because the F35 that has been in operation for a long time before is still the same, for me who just switched over, it feels like a princess and a pea under a ten-layer velvet quilt, and my heart is unwilling. Of course, at this time, the floor, seats and door panels in the car have no sense of jitter, which is slightly better than a million-class medium and large SUV of an ultra-luxury brand.
2.? High-speed tire noise: Especially after getting on the high speed, there is a lot of "driving passion" and "sports style". I don't know if it's because of 19 inch big wheel hub and low flat tire. Comparatively speaking, the F35 looks very quiet and luxurious. Combined with the previous article, NVH (noise, vibration and vibration roughness) of the whole vehicle is the biggest groove point of this car. Of course, X2 itself belongs to the category of A-class cars, and its NVH performance is still in the first echelon in the same class. In the past, wrestling with Hua Dan Series 3 seemed a bit too demanding.
Back to the above question, from F35 to F39? X2, is this a retrogression? Yes, it's not true. NVH's backwardness makes F35, which is not excellent in this respect, look luxurious, but what about F39? X2 will not fall in the wind.
F39? X2? 2.0T is undoubtedly a BMW with obvious shortcomings and advantages. TA is generally quiet, with high-speed tire noise, and the rear space is much smaller than X 1, which is also a UKL platform, so it is not suitable as the only car for families with children.
However, TA has outstanding driving performance (the price range of 250,000-320,000 yuan), short wheelbase and stronger suspension training. The car is very flexible, and the sense of control is similar to that of a car. 8AT BMW brothers can't fall in front of the wind.
TA also has a full front and body lines similar to the SUV style of GT models, and its appearance is very dynamic. It is puzzling that the official propaganda of the manufacturer seems to seldom mention the driving pleasure of X2, and more emphasize the external "type" of TA. Perhaps the manufacturer found that most car owners actually only need a car that looks very sporty. However, X2 has not only beauty, but also internal strength. For young car owners who pursue personal driving experience and don't need to consider multiple passengers, BMW X2 is a sports coupe worth pursuing.
X2, as a SAC closely integrated with UKL platform, has attracted much attention since its birth. As it turns out, it is a BMW that you must personally feel, because both inside and outside the X2 will subvert your traditional perception of BMW, especially the hard-core sense of control. Although it's a bit harsh compared with Series 3, it seems that the performance of X2 will really surprise people.
