It only took 4 months from writing the script to completing the location selection, but after finding Before "Two Flags Town", we almost gave up the plan because we couldn't film the scene because we couldn't find the ancient city in the story. Our play cost 1.27 million yuan, and the budget dictated that I had no money to set up the scenery. So Yang Zhengguang, photographer Madelin, and art director and I chose a group of people to walk along the Hexi Corridor, and finally made a breakthrough in a place called Camel City. . We drove a jeep and drove along the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Highway. We saw a small corner across a lot of sand dunes, which looked a bit like the Silk Road Station back then. We used a compass to determine the location, and then got out of the car. We walked in the desert for two hours.

When we crossed the last sand dune, in the afterglow of the setting sun, a complete ruins of an ancient city appeared in front of us. It was so beautiful!
