Can I buy a market index?

Investors can buy and sell market indexes through stock index futures. At present, the stock index futures available for investment mainly include SSE 50 stock index futures, CSI 300 stock index futures and CSI 500 stock index futures. The market indices corresponding to these three indexes are SSE 50, CSI 300 and CSI 500 respectively. These three types of indices are described as follows:

SSE 50 Index: SSE 50 Index is an index compiled by selecting 50 stocks with the highest market value in Shanghai stock market.

Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 Index: The Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 Index is an index compiled by selecting 300 stocks with the highest market value in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets.

CSI 500 Index: refers to the index compiled by the 500 stocks with the largest market value after excluding the constituent stocks of CSI 300 Index and the top 300 stocks with total market value from all A shares.
