In recent years, the breeding of hairy rabbits has developed rapidly, which has restrained the rebound of rabbit hair market. At the same time, due to the limitation of rabbit skin tanning and the rising demand for rabbit meat, some rex rabbit farmers directly turned to meat rabbit breeding. Even the rabbit farms that are still breeding rex rabbits have changed from the original pattern of selling rabbit skin products mainly and rabbit meat as a supplement to the pattern of selling rabbit meat mainly and rex rabbit skin as a supplement, and the proportion of meat rabbit output value is expected to further increase in the future.
