Are you confused by companies like China Everbright Securities, China Everbright Bank, China Merchants Bank and China Merchants Securities?

For example, Everbright Group has subsidiaries such as Everbright Bank, Everbright Securities and Everbright Futures. But the business between these companies is strictly distinguished. There is no connection with each other. This is not called mixed operation.

The original intention of separate operation is to resolve risks. Commercial banks are not allowed to operate securities business with bank deposits, but can only make money by using the interest rate difference between deposits and loans. The use of this deposit is strictly supervised by the banking regulatory bureau. It is not allowed to do high-risk business such as securities.

For example, several subsidiaries of the above-mentioned Everbright Group are independent and their businesses are separated. Everbright Bank specializes in commercial banks, absorbing deposits and lending. Everbright Securities specializes in securities business, not taking deposits, but only doing securities business. Although the two companies belong to the same parent company, they are separate in finance and business. So it's not a question of mixed operation.
