It is understood that China Kunlun Engineering Company was renamed from China Textile Chemical Fiber Engineering Corporation under the China Textile Industry Design Institute. China Textile Industry Design Institute (hereinafter referred to as China Textile Institute) changed its assets, liabilities, personnel and its wholly-owned, holding and shareholding enterprises to the name of China Kunlun Engineering Company. After the reorganization, China Textile Academy became a subordinate unit of China Kunlun Engineering Company.

China Textile Industry Design Institute was established in 1952. It is one of the first survey and design units established in China. The only large-scale survey and design unit directly under the former Ministry of Textile Industry was placed under the direct management of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (formerly the Central Enterprise Working Committee) in 2000, and was reorganized and joined China Petroleum at the end of 2007. Mainly engaged in textile and chemical fiber, petrochemical, environmental engineering and civil construction engineering design, engineering consulting and general contracting business. Since its establishment 57 years ago, it has been working in 26 countries and regions all over the country and the world. For a long time, especially in the last ten years, we have devoted ourselves to developing proprietary technologies and complete sets of equipment, including large-scale continuous polycondensation polyester projects, polymer melt transportation and distribution, large-scale PTA (purified terephthalic acid), industrial wastewater treatment and many other proprietary technologies and complete sets of equipment. Actively expanding the business market has made important contributions to the development of textile and chemical fiber industry in China.
