MDI (diphenylmethane diisocyanate) is a white or yellowish solid at room temperature and a colorless to yellowish liquid after melting. This product can be widely used to manufacture microcellular elastomer, thermoplastic elastomer, castable elastomer, artificial leather, synthetic leather, adhesive, coating and sealant. It is flammable. In case of accidental fire, carbon dioxide, foam or chemical dry powder fire extinguisher can be used to put out the fire.
MDI is a polysemous word, which includes the following meanings: multi-document interface, diphenylmethane diisocyanate, media-related interface, media transmission quality index, model-driven integration, pressure quantitative aerosol device, manual input program control mode, etc. Polyurethane material synthesized by isocyanate, polyol and its additives is unique among many synthetic materials, and it has become one of the fastest developing materials because of its excellent performance, wide variety and wide application.

MDI is a mixture of 4,4-diphenylmethane diisocyanate (pure MDI), pure MDI and polyphenyl polymethylene polyisocyanate (polymeric MDI) in a certain proportion, and the general name of the modified products of pure MDI and polymeric MDI. It is the most important raw material for producing polyurethane, and a small amount of MDI is used in other aspects besides polyurethane. Polyurethane not only has the elasticity of rubber, but also has the strength and excellent processability of plastic.
Especially, it has incomparable advantages in heat insulation, sound insulation, wear resistance, oil resistance and elasticity.
