The United States, Brazil, Argentina and China are the main soybean producers in the world, accounting for 965,438+0% of the total world output in 2004/05. According to historical statistics, major soybean producers are major soybean oil producers. In 2004/05, the soybean oil production of the United States, Brazil, Argentina and China accounted for 27% and 65,438+of the world total respectively. The EU's overall output is also relatively high, accounting for 8% of the world's total output.
World soybean oil production is increasing year by year. Compared with 1993/94, the output in 2004/05 increased by 79%. Among the four major soybean oil producers in the world, the United States has always occupied the first position, but its share of world soybean oil production has dropped from 35% in 1993/94 to 27% in 2004/05. Brazil's soybean oil production increased by 59% from 1993/94 to 2004/05, accounting for about 17% of the world's total soybean oil production. During this period, China's soybean oil production increased by 397%, and its proportion in the world's total soybean oil production increased from 6% in 1993/94 to 17%. 20 10 surpassed Argentina to become the third largest soybean oil producer.
While the total output of world soybean oil is increasing, the trade volume of world soybean oil is also increasing. In 2004/05, the export volume of world soybean oil reached 9.33 million tons, an increase of 1993/94. Among them, the export volume of Argentina has increased rapidly, with an increase of 248% in 2004/05 compared with that of 1993/94, and its share in the world's total soybean oil exports has also increased from 30% to 53%, and its position as the world's largest soybean oil exporter has been consolidated day by day. Brazil and the United States also exported soybean oil in large quantities, accounting for 25% and 7% of the total world soybean oil exports in 2004/05 respectively.
From 2004 to now, the world soybean oil import situation has changed obviously, and the import volume has increased rapidly. In 2004/05, it increased by 19 1% compared with 1993/94. The most obvious change is India, whose import volume was 29,000 tons in 1993/94 and reached1358,000 tons in 2000102, accounting for 19% of the world's total import volume. China is also an important soybean oil importer. Except in 2000/0 1 and 2006/05438+0/02, the soybean oil imports from China accounted for more than 10% of the world soybean oil imports during 193/94-2004/05, and the soybean oil imports from China increased in 2003/04.
From 2004 to 20 10, the consumption of soybean oil in the world increased year by year, and it has become one of the largest vegetable oil varieties in the world. After the consumption of soybean oil in 1996/97 exceeded 20 million tons, the consumption of soybean oil in 2004/05 increased to 31930,000 tons. The European Union, the United States and China are the main countries and regions where soybean oil consumption has increased.
The obvious characteristics of soybean oil consumption are: the consumption of Argentina, the main producing country, has been low; China is the country with the fastest growth rate of soybean oil consumption, which increased by 327% in 2004/05 compared with 1993/94, and the consumption increased by 5.52 million tons.
According to the regional characteristics of soybean oil consumption, the main consumers are the United States, China, Brazil and the European Union. In addition, soybean oil consumption in Japan, Bangladesh, Mexico and Iran is also high. In addition, consumption in other countries is relatively small. China is the first country in the world to extract oil from soybeans, with a history of nearly a thousand years. At present, China is still a big producer and consumer of soybean oil in the world. In 2004/05, the output of soybean oil was 5.77 million tons and the consumption was 7.85 million tons. From 20 10 to 20 13, the soybean oil market is active and the market price changes sharply.
China is one of the four largest soybean oil producers in the world. After 1980s, the output of soybean oil in China increased rapidly from less than 1 10,000 tons to 5.77 million tons in 2004.
1983- 1987 is a period of rapid growth of vegetable oil consumption in China, and there is a gap between production and sales. We must rely on imports to alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand in China. From 65438 to 0990, China government raised the order price of oil, which stimulated the development of soybean production and soybean oil processing industry. 1993 after the oil market was liberalized, the number and scale of soybean processing plants continued to expand, thus increasing the domestic soybean oil output to 800- 1 10,000 tons. With the increase of imported soybeans, the number of soybeans available for oil extraction in China has increased significantly, and the output of soybean oil has increased rapidly, reaching 5.77 million tons in 2004/05.
Soybean oil production is widely distributed in China. For most of the last century, soybean oil production in China was mainly concentrated in major soybean producing areas such as Heilongjiang Province. In the five years after 2004, many soybean processing plants were built in the southern coastal areas, most of which were processed with imported soybeans, among which Jiangsu, Shandong, Liaoning and Guangdong provinces were the areas with the most concentrated oil extraction capacity.
The per capita output of soybean in China is low, and there has always been a supply gap of soybean oil. Since the 1990s, China's soybean oil imports have increased year by year, reaching 1993/94- 1997/98, once exceeding 1 10,000 tons, and then gradually stabilizing. In 2003/04, the import volume was close to 3 million tons. In sharp contrast, China's soybean oil exports are very small. In recent years, the average annual export is about 50,000 tons.
From the main countries importing soybean oil, Argentina and Brazil are the main sources of soybean oil imports in China. In recent years, more than 90% of China's soybean oil imports came from these two countries, while the amount of soybean oil imported from the United States decreased significantly.
The sales radiation range of soybean oil is mainly restricted by cost, among which transportation cost is an important factor affecting sales cost. Since 2000, with the gradual reduction of railway transportation costs, the sales area and radiation range of soybean oil have steadily expanded.
With the sales price becoming more and more transparent, the profits of intermediate dealers are getting lower and lower, the original trading companies gradually fade out of the circulation field of soybean oil, and more soybean processing plants directly deliver soybean oil to terminal sellers or users.
In the early 1990s, China's soybean oil consumption was only 6.5438+0 million tons. Affected by many factors, the consumption of soybean oil has increased rapidly, nearly six times in the past decade, reaching more than 7 million tons in 2004/05. Soybean oil has become the largest vegetable oil variety in China.
