According to the second paragraph of Article 70 of the Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Futures Companies, a futures company shall open a futures margin account with the futures margin depository bank. Where a futures company opens, changes or cancels a futures margin account, it shall file a record with the futures margin depository monitoring institution on the same day, and disclose the opening, change or cancellation of the futures margin account to customers in a prescribed manner. According to the provisions of Article 73, a futures company shall timely submit information to the futures margin safety custody monitoring institution in accordance with the provisions. Article 5 stipulates that the China Securities Regulatory Commission and its dispatched offices shall supervise and manage futures companies and their branches according to law. China Futures Association and Futures Exchange shall exercise self-discipline management over futures companies in accordance with self-discipline rules. The futures margin depository monitoring institution shall monitor the security of customer margin according to law.
