Free passage on highways and holidays in China refers to the free passage of minibuses with less than 7 seats during legal holidays, except for operating vehicles, all other vehicles cannot pass free of charge. Minivans also have to pay fees, even pickup trucks with high prices belong to minivans, and taking the expressway is not exempt from tolls.
Highway trucks charged during the May Day holiday are only free for passenger cars with 7 seats or less, and there is no policy of free trucks. There is a charge for all trucks to get on the expressway on May 1.

Article 1 of the Implementation Plan for Exempting Small Bus Toll on Major Holidays: The free passage time of high-speed buses is 20 days, 7 days in spring, 3 days in Tomb-Sweeping Day, 3 days in Labor Day and 7 days in National Day. The free pass policy for minibuses with less than seven seats (including seven seats) includes motorcycles allowed to drive on ordinary toll roads.
The free time period starts at 00: 00 on the first day of the holiday and ends at 24: 00 on the last day of the holiday (the time when the vehicle passes through the toll lane of the toll station shall prevail for ordinary highways, and the time when the vehicle leaves the exit toll lane for expressways).
