What are the properties and uses of PPS plastics?
PPS plastic, PPS English, is a new type of high-performance thermoplastic resin, which has the advantages of high mechanical strength, high temperature resistance, chemical resistance, flame retardancy, good thermal stability and excellent electrical properties. Widely used in electronics, automobiles, machinery, chemical industry and other fields.

PPS plastic has the advantages of high mechanical strength, high temperature resistance, high flame retardancy and strong chemical resistance. It has the advantages of hard and brittle, high crystallinity, good flame retardancy, good thermal stability, high mechanical strength and excellent electrical properties. PPS is one of the engineering plastics with the best heat resistance, its thermal deformation temperature is generally higher than 260 degrees, its chemical resistance is second only to PTFE, and its fluidity is second only to nylon. In addition, it also has the advantages of small molding shrinkage (about 0.8%), low water absorption (about 0.02%), good flame retardancy and good vibration fatigue resistance.

PPS plastic characteristics

Excellent electrical insulation (especially high-frequency insulation), hard and brittle white, metallic sound when landing, light transmittance second only to plexiglass, good coloring water resistance and chemical stability. It has excellent flame retardancy and is a non-combustible plastic. General strength, good rigidity, but fragile, prone to stress embrittlement, not resistant to benzene, gasoline and other organic solvents.

Long-term use temperature can reach 260 degrees, 400 degrees in air or nitrogen to maintain stability. By adding glass fiber or other reinforcing materials, the impact strength, heat resistance and other mechanical properties can be greatly improved. The density is increased to 1.6- 1.9, and the molding shrinkage is as low as 0. 15-0.25%, which is suitable for making heat-resistant parts, insulating parts, chemical instruments and optical instruments.
