How is the growth rate calculated?
Growth rate generally refers to the growth rate compared with the base period.

The calculation formula of growth rate = (current index value-base index value) ÷ base index value * 100%. If the calculated value is positive, it is called growth rate; If the calculated value is negative, it is called decline rate.

Data expansion:

1. Natural population growth rate: refers to the ratio of natural population growth (birth population minus death population) to the average population in a certain period. Usually calculated in years, expressed in thousandths. The calculation formula is: natural population growth rate = (number of births in that year-number of deaths in that year)/average annual population × 100%= birth rate-population.

2. The economic growth rate is the comparison between the final GNP and the basic GNP.
