Styrene, also known as "vinyl benzene", is an important organic chemical raw material. Its chemical molecular formula is C8H8, which is flammable and explosive. It is synthesized from pure benzene and ethylene. It is mainly used to produce synthetic resins such as expanded polystyrene (EPS), polystyrene (PS) and ABS, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) and SBS elastomer. Downstream products are widely used in building insulation, automobile manufacturing, household appliances, toy manufacturing, textile, paper making, shoemaking, packaging and other fields.
