The difference between natural rubber and synthetic rubber
First, the extracted raw materials are different. Natural rubber is made from plants that produce natural rubber. In other words, latex produced directly on rubber trees is directly extracted. Natural rubber sold in the market is mainly made of latex of rubber tree with three leaves. On the other hand, synthetic rubber is a kind of synthetic polymer with high elasticity, also known as synthetic elastomer. Different kinds of rubber were synthesized with different monomers.

Second, the performance is different. Natural rubber has high elasticity and low plasticity at room temperature. But also has good electrical insulation performance. Its chemical reaction is relatively strong, and light and heat can age it, but after adding antioxidants, its exposure ability will be strengthened. It can still be used as usual after three years of storage. Moreover, natural rubber has strong alkali resistance, but it is not resistant to strong acid. Synthetic rubber is not so good, but it still has high elasticity, insulation, oil resistance and high temperature resistance. It is still widely used today.

To sum up the above two points, natural rubber has advantages over synthetic rubber. However, synthetic rubber is more widely used. Because synthetic rubber has low cost and high output. Synthetic rubber will be used more widely in the future.
