Artificial picking of chrysanthemum seeds
Chrysanthemum is a very ornamental chrysanthemum. So how to collect chrysanthemum seeds? The collection method is simple. When the seeds are ripe, they can be picked directly by hand. It is best not to store it immediately, but to dry it, remove impurities and store it in bags.
During the growth of chrysanthemum seeds, white fluff will appear at the top, which is the standard of seed maturity. You can choose at this time. If seeds are not picked in time, they can easily fall into the soil and cannot be collected. Therefore, seeds must be collected within 3 days after they grow fluff.
When storing chrysanthemum seeds, they can be packed in sterile cloth bags or plastic bags. It is best to indicate the date of the seed on it, so that the storage time of the seed can be judged. The storage environment must be in a dry and cool place. If the weather is wet, the seeds will germinate.
During flowering, chrysanthemums need to be placed outdoors, and only insect pollination can improve the seed setting rate. If indoor culture requires self-pollination, it is necessary to smear the pollen of male flowers on female flowers. The probability of artificial pollination is relatively low, and it is best to put it outdoors during flowering.
